@elnarvideo@maxweisel Bluetooth on or off? It always shows up as a connectable device, when I do a Bluetooth search - even if I haven't touched it in a while. Can't be good for battery or privacy.
Quick test last night playing around with RealityScan - bad living room lighting and not really pre-selecting my pictures. Nice result! https://t.co/1BsvzLPRWt
@TheKristofLovas This looks so good! Would you be able to share an example for a noise and warp texture? What would be a good way to create them, to get to those results?
@lexiamandeville You too. Sorry in case that came over as condescending. More meant to attack Facebook's vision. Take a look if you like https://t.co/uRt62n2Mn6
@lexiamandeville In any case the metaverse or whatever is not gonna be engine A or B by definition. It's gonna be overlays of multiple AR experiences - independent of engine and techstack used - mixed together. Then draw a skybox ovr. The app like thinking is the wrong thing from the beginning ๐
@lexiamandeville See it as a filter. Those you are willing to step out of their (unity) comfort zone, to maybe learn something new, are the hires I would want. I don't care with what they started out with. A lot transfers over, if you have a good grasp of the basics.
On my 16gb, 8 core Ryzen laptop this is just super frustrating, but even my 32gb workstation never goes above certain parallel compile threads. Adding /MP[threadnr] works sometimes? UE compiles multiples slower, when this line comes up for example.
For some reason Visual C++ compiler started to "Requested 1.5 GB free memory per action", meaning it will not go above certain thread number on many core CPUs - even on 32gb machine. This is non-sensical for so many reasons, least of all that Windows often reserves more than need
@NimaZeighami@Aidan_Wolf@NathanBurba Heh just moved here, Venice area. Would be cool to connect sometimes. Building something you might find cool. I was thinking of hitting up the Ctrl collective coworking space meet people from the VR/ar space.
