I hope so.

92 Josef keeps bringing up flight for his superhero... maybe he means this also in the sense of fulfilling his desire to flee/escape? #21Lit

[Marcus D @d_mdaly]

Like Oscar's view of labels (nerd, dominican, etc), in L'heureux's 3rd story, "white male, eighty" is incomplete to the Protagonist. #21Lit

If each more central story has knowledge about the more peripheral stories, does that mean Cloud Atlas itself is ultimately the core? #21Lit

[Marcus D @d_mdaly]

@DdasguptaD The writing medium of each chapter can lead us down that same path, nested back to Zachry's son's story. His intentions? #21Lit

[Marcus D @d_mdaly]

@maryclaremcm Each story has its own distinct style—more than anything, I think that makes it more accessible to a broader audience #21Lit

Adam seems to find comfort in this Journal and its "sympathetic pages" 26. Writing in it is very similar to religion for him #21Lit

Zora's "shoes took stairs in only one direction" 414. They represent a sense beauty/power: can they only help her when optimistic? #21Lit

The Staalmeesters 383 in many ways reflects on the book: unique, human characters leaving the viewer unsure if the picture is whole #21Lit

[Marcus D @d_mdaly]

Supposedly Howard had "been the repository of... their names" (351), yet just forgot Theresa's name—does he only remember the past? #21Lit

[Marcus D @d_mdaly]

@akarppi21st How much of this is a question for Howard? It seems that here, (like other experiences with music) it isn't enough #21Lit

[Marcus D @d_mdaly]

@21stchristian @vda_202 He says he's lived on the street "all [his] life" (244)—how much of "living" is just how you want to live? #21Lit

[Marcus D @d_mdaly]

Levi tries to put on a persona, but he can't defend it: "Levi would argue for justice... especially when — he was in the wrong" (87) #21Lit

[Marcus D @d_mdaly]

@21OChris It seems this may be referring to how IDs are formed through a self-mental image—still, it also suggests the reverse #21Lit
