Mohd. Sameer, an e-rickshaw driver from Libaspur in Delhi’s Samaypur Badli area, alleges that he was beaten by police after catching a man who allegedly tried to steal his e-rickshaw.

On September 6, he stopped his e-rickshaw by the roadside in Libaspur because he was hungry and began eating. A short while later, he noticed a man allegedly taking the vehicle away.

He chased the man and, with the help of another e-rickshaw driver, managed to catch him. People at the spot advised him to take the suspected thief to the police.

He then took the man to the Libaspur police chowki. There, he alleges that instead of taking action against the suspected thief, police personnel hit him on his hands with a baton.

Following the alleged beating, his hands became swollen and painful, leaving him unable to lift them properly. He has been unable to drive his e-rickshaw for the past four days, affecting his daily income and livelihood.

He lives with his elderly mother and is responsible for her care. He says the incident has left him physically unable to work and deeply distressed.

A Muslim woman, Julekha Khatun, allegedly changed her religion and married Bhavesh Chaudhary nearly four years ago. After marriage, she adopted the name Jiya Devi.

She now alleges that her husband assaulted her, threw her out of the house, and is involved with another woman. Julekha has approached the police seeking justice and is reportedly struggling to rebuild her life with her daughter.

Abdul Mafeek Murder: Why Only Muslims Pay the Price for Speaking Up

A 25 y/o youth filmed his crumbling government school. BJP goons allegedly attacked his home within hours. His father, Abdul Mafeek, died in hospital on Independence Day... August 15.

Hundreds of "School Theek Karo" videos flood social media daily. Nobody gets lynched. Nobody's father dies. Until the creator is Muslim.

This is not coincidence. This is a pattern.

Hindu creators film the same broken schools, post the same videos, trend the same hashtag... and go home safe. Abdul Hafeez did the exact same thing and lost his father in two days. BJP goons gheraoed his house for 48 hours, blocked family movement and prevented him from accessing medical help for his dying father.

This is targeted dehumanisation. Muslims are being sent a clear message: your citizenship is conditional. Your voice is dangerous. Your life is cheap.

IYC is on the ground demanding arrests. CJP is sending a team. An FIR exists. Yet no immediate action from Modi government or WB CM Suvendu Adhikari.

When a Muslim child demands a better school, it becomes a "threat." When his father dies for it, it becomes silence.

India's Constitution promised every citizen equal protection. Abdul Mafeek was an Indian citizen. He deserved to live.

A school is a public institution. Asking for better schools is not a crime.
Justice for Abdul and his family. Arrest those responsible. Protect those demanding accountability.

Silencing one Abdul will not fix one broken school... or the system behind it.

इस आशय क़े संबंध में राज्य के मुख्यमंत्री हेमंत सोरेन ने सोमवार की रात ऐलान किया है कि TSR डेटा प्रोसेसिंग प्राइवेट लिमिटेड यानी TDPL द्वारा कराई गई सभी परीक्षाएं रद्द की जाएंगी। इसके साथ ही CGL एग्जाम को भी कैंसिल करने का ऐलान किया गया है। सीएम सोरेन ने कहा कि कैबिनेट ने JSSC-CGL को भी रद्द करने का निर्णय लिया है। 2014 से जितनी भी छोटी बड़ी गलतियां हुई हैं सभी की जांच होगी। उनके इस ऐलान के बाद रांची में प्रदर्शनकारी छात्र जश्न मना रहे हैं। हालांकि अभी कुछ लोग CBI जाँच की मांग पर अड़े है। उन्होंने न्यायिक जाँच आयोग क़े गठन पर संतोष नहीं जताया।

Just came across a clip from a school somewhere in Kashmir. Independence Day celebrations held for or by the Waqf Board.

I have a question. Isn’t waqf board a religious body entrusted with serving the Muslim Community. and ideally doing so while uplholding Islamic Values?

Then there is something almost comical about this institution: an organisation built around a religious and communal purpose, yet sitting so comfortably through something you would expect a religious institution to at least question.

It lends its name to celebrations that reduce our children to stage props and performers.

Why is the default way of involving children — and particularly girls — in public celebrations to make them dance to irrelevant songs? Why aren’t our institutions giving them something to think about, create, learn, discuss, build or contribute?

Especially in a place like Kashmir. Which has had a remarkable legacy of people who understood education as a means to enlighten minds, cultivate character and equip people with knowledge and spirituality.

What about the intellectual and cultural legacy of wonderful scholars of the past.

So if it’s an institution whose very existence is tied to religious purpose, you are taksed with deeper work of strengthening the communities spiritually morally, intellectually.

And to be clear: the point is not the children. Children are often simply made to participate in whatever schools and institutions put before them.

Perhaps that is the real tragedy here.

The question is what an institution chooses to facilitate, endorse and place under its own banner.

An alleged incident of mob lynching and assault has been reported from the Hussain Ganj police station area of Lucknow. According to the victim identified as Hafiz Mohamad Kaif, the incident occurred while he was returning home from the gym between 10:30 pm and 11:30 pm on July 8.
A group of people allegedly stopped Hafiz Mohammad Kaif Khan near his house, verbally abused him, and made religiously and caste-based derogatory remarks and eventually launched an attack on him.

"I was on my way home from the gym when I came across four or five men on the road. They live just behind my house. They stopped me, started abusing me, hurled religious slurs at me, and then attacked me," Kaif told FoEJ Media.

In a pursuit to save himself, Kaif reportedly took refuge inside a nearby house. However, the attackers followed him inside and continued to assault him.
He received stitches on his head and was admitted to a Civil hospital for treatment. The family also alleges that people who tried to intervene during the assault were threatened by the attackers.
"They hit me with bricks and struck me with the metal bracelet they were wearing on their hands. My entire eye turned black and blue, and I had to get eight stitches on my head," Kaif said.
The family has further urged the police to conduct an impartial investigation, take strict legal action against those responsible, ensure justice for the victim, and provide security to the family.

Meanwhile, police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. However, Kaif alleged that none of the accused have been arrested so far.
"No one has been arrested so far. One person was detained, but he was released the very next day," Kaif said.

Lucknow, UP: A 25-year-old Muslim man, Hafiz Mohammad Kaif Khan, has alleged that he was the victim of a mob lynching attempt in the Hussainganj police station area on the night of July 8.

According to the complaint submitted by his family to the police, Kaif was returning home from the gym between 10:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. when he was allegedly stopped by a group of people near his house.

The family alleges that the assailants abused him, made religious remarks, and assaulted him with fists, sticks, and a brick after he objected.

The family further claims that Kaif ran into a nearby house to save himself, but the attackers allegedly followed him inside and continued the assault.

Kaif sustained serious head injuries, received stitches, and was admitted to a hospital for treatment.
