@Ernest1588761 Besides, he got better shortly afterwards, it's not like he died permanently. He doesn't half go on about it considering it was bloody ages ago. He needs to just get over it.
@xonphused@Ernest1588761 As much as this has elements of both contemporary & historical truth, it is simply not applicable to the vast majority of those of faith. Perhaps to encourage more productive discourse, there are better ways to make progress rather than conflict?
@GodsParson Where is the lawlessness specifically if you don't mind sharing? On a global scale, over the last 100 years, crime rates have generally declined.
@RepJackKimble It seems to be slightly ironic that a 17th century novel, about an old man who thinks windmills are the enemy, has the underlying moral of a loss of ones grip on reality.
Now you've elected someone who seems to suffer from both.
@Ernest1588761 There are numerous signs of nature worship leading up to a mother-earth embodiment of what is thought to be among the first deities. Folk lived in communities with differing roles & showing empathy & cooperation.
@Tsar_Martyr Morality, empathy & community all existed long before Judaism was invented/evolved. Christianity isn't necessary for being aware of what is unkind & harmful to others.
@TheSkepticWiz Your not at all wrong, couldn't he just make the human version of him out of a rib or some mud or something? It does seem preferable to getting an underage girl up the duff.
@dastardlyvillen@MadelaineLucyH Births coincided with when the affair between Henry & Mary were taking place, so the rumours did have some fairly firm grounding.
@DrFrankTurek If, what with Yehowah being all powerful & all, this does seem rather a kerfuffle. Could he not bridge the gap with humanity & forgive the miscellaneous sins without getting a little girl up the duff at all? There shouldn't need to be a saviour to resurrect really.
