@DoubleEph Obviously, you can’t extrapolate from your house to the entire country. Will still raise a lot more cos high value properties in SE England will see significant increase. Council tax as it is, is regressive. This is one policy I agree with.
By contrast, a message takes more effort to compose, but less effort to receive. It’s more considerate.
In civilized societies, considerate gestures are valorized and inconsiderate gestures are stigmatized.
In fact you could argue that’s the definition of civilization.
Civilized people hate voice notes because they’re inherently rude. A voice note is easy to send but hard to receive, since one must interrupt oneself and listen. To send someone a voice note is to say "My time is more valuable than yours." It’s insulting.
@NateSilver538 You realise £50k is life changing for a lot of people in the UK, right? Obviously the choice depends on the

Of course you left out the fact that the affected homes are listed properties for which you’d have needed prior approval before the installation. Most homes in U.K can install aircon without any restriction.
You will get much more stable ownership here, Larry, and we can offer you a mentoring role related to our men's national cricket team. And fresher fish.
They know how to queue, it’s just lack of consequences. I was at the Nigerian embassy in London once when the queueing system was disrupted. Few hours later, I went to a nearby McDonald’s, and it was full of same Nigerians from the embassy all orderly queuing to order.
