Tesla Q1 sales.
With partial data in, prediction of 290-300k sales in Q1. Significantly below most predictions.
Q1 2025 was 336681. A 17% drop (in line with US & Europe, with China a lot worse) gets 279k. Some rebound.
Full year prediction is 1.35m, down from 1.63m.
@JubatoTomato@Saint_Shu@BullBoss5 The point is that everyone dies of something.
Risk of that being heat stress related rises with age.
Europeans live longer, so doing a straight numbers comparison misses that nuance.

@Saint_Shu@BullBoss5 Europeans live on average 3-5 years longer than Americans.
That also means more elderly who are at risk in hot conditions.
The US has terrible health so pointing at Europeans as worse is jingoistic nonsense.
🔥🛢️ The Moscow Oil Refinery came under large-scale aerial attack early this morning, much larger than the one carried out just two days ago.
📍 The facility processes around 11.6 million tonnes of oil annually and is one of the most important fuel suppliers for the Russian capital.
@Solzi_Sez@emmagraeauthor The point is that the change to farming was apocalyptic for millions of people. including completely exterminating entire populations and cultures.
The idea that people just moved into towns is not supported by the evidence.

@Solzi_Sez@emmagraeauthor Not the same people. And I mean that literally, not even their descendants. In the UK/Europe it appears that the neolithic hunters got completely wiped out by the Beaker People. You could not have chosen a worse analogy.

@AndrewPerpetua Regarding your example request - if just looking post WW2 and not looking for perfection (just overall not bad) there's an argument for Japan, Germany, US (not including Reagan, Bush II or Trump), UK (not including Tories Thatcher, Cameron-Johnson), Scandinavia.
@AndrewPerpetua The point is that in ancient Greece or something like that the electorate itself was maybe 30-60,000 people (Athens), with only a certain number of those people being candidates.
In such a small society people have a good chance of knowing them individually.
@JTAlexander "There is not one human that actually reads 300 books a year"
There are plenty. I used to read that many. And I know I did, because I could take out a maximum of 12 books from the library that had to be returned within 2 weeks and I was reading additional books on top.
@GordonFielden We do not have a president in the UK. We have a Prime Minister. Labour got elected with a mandate - not Starmer.
He's clearly unpopular and leading Labour to disaster. He should step down.
@PlauDD@BonkDaCarnivore You missed at least one zero. 200% profit or 2000%. What's the real cost? Half a million? It's a bit of salary cost, some equipment hire and some paint.
@nateliie1970@archer_rs@Bitchard11 Because they are stupid. Anyone voting for Reform is. Basically both Trump and Reform have realised that just flat out lying and never backing down works amongst some section of society.
@TeamYouTube@DantyRanty__ Stop just "here's a DM" to people and start fixing your entire system. YouTube makes an ungodly amount of money so there's no excuse not to make a process that works better with creators and stops actual content thieves. It all comes down to human review.
