Most founders get banned from Reddit the same way: they post their app.
The ones who last answer a stranger's question first, and mention the app only when it's the answer.
Most A/B tests at an early startup end on noise, and some of that noise gets shipped as a winner.
Under a few thousand visitors a week, watching five people use the page will teach you more than splitting them in half.
@fusionfroze Before giving up on Reddit, search for threads where someone asks for exactly what your app does. Answering those with your app as one of the options rarely gets you banned.
Shopify's new Canvas lets you redesign your store by chatting with an AI.
One catch: a theme edited in Canvas stops getting theme updates. Work on a duplicate.
@arbazbuilds@innervoicehq A way to see the answers grouped by theme. After twenty follow-ups I'd want to know which complaint keeps coming back, not read every thread one by one.
I'm building Analyst Zero, an AI analyst for your marketing, and I found a bug that embarrassed me.
There's a box where you tell it about your business in your own words. It said "saved" every time.
But it only kept notes that had a date in them. So "most customers find us on Instagram" was quietly thrown away.
Even the example text I wrote inside the box didn't survive.
It now keeps every short note exactly as you wrote it. If your product has a form with placeholder text, type that exact text in yourself and check where it goes.
@adithyashreshti A clone also starts without everything your users have already told you. Every support thread and feature request is context it has to earn from zero.
@vamshi_builds 43 pageviews from 18 visitors means people are browsing. Trace that one signup back to the page it landed on first, because at this volume one path tells you more than the totals.
@kartikb753 Agreed, inside direct it just stays invisible. Its own bucket with a versioned window would show whether better tagging actually shrinks it.
Tab came out of stealth this week at a $300M valuation, and there's no app to download.
You just text it on iMessage or WhatsApp like any other contact. Poke works the same way.
So a new user never sees a sign-up screen or an onboarding tour. The first thing they do is the task they came for.
Most products spend five screens trying to get you to that moment.
Google's login page is the second biggest traffic source on my site. 26 of 134 visits.
It's my own Sign in with Google button. Someone clicks it, Google sends them back, and analytics logs a fresh visit from https://t.co/dFT0MhrkTN. Whatever brought them in the first place loses the credit.
Payment pages do the same. Search your referrals for your login and checkout providers and exclude them.
@eliana_jordan Now that screenshots and copy cost minutes instead of days, they can be tested, not just produced. The first screenshot per language is a cheap experiment.
Open your analytics and look at the "direct" line. A lot of it is links you shared and never tagged: a newsletter, a post, a message to a friend.
Three checks, five minutes. Count the links you shared last week without a utm_source tag. Look at the ones in your emails and newsletters. Then open your site from Slack, WhatsApp and an Instagram DM and see what your analytics calls it.
On my own site, 97 of 126 visits had no source. None carried a tag.
Someone asked me how I'll track the in-app funnel. Right now I can't.
Analyst Zero sees the website: who visits and where they came from. When the sale happens inside an app, it goes blind.
I'm building an AI analyst that tells you which channel brings your customers. Its first report on my own site said to define what counts as a conversion.
Last week I removed that step. If a form with an email gets sent, or someone lands on your thank-you page, it counts a lead by itself. Nothing typed leaves the browser.
I'm building an AI analyst that tells you which channel actually brings your customers.
I put it on my own site. After two visits, it told me nothing showed where visitors came from and to tag every link I share.
I didn't. Four weeks later, 97 of my 126 visits have no source, and I can't say what my posting did.
Tag your links before you judge a channel.
