"To earn album of the year, Beyoncé had to cross five genres and rise to the top of her craft over two decades. The Grammys ask far less of other artists—but Beyoncé and Cowboy Carter deserve their plaudits, no matter how overdue." —@FortuneMagazine
Delayed but not denied.
For years, Beyonce has set the standard, shaped the culture, and redefined the art—now, the recognition has finally caught up.
This award is more than a trophy. It’s about reclaiming what’s been taken, whitewashed, and shut us out for far too long.
So tonight, we don’t just celebrate Bey—we celebrate every Black artist who should have heard “And the winner is…” long before now.
So, we celebrate, we uplift, and we say—about damn time!
Congratulations, Beyonce Album of the Year winner!
This is not up for debate. She’s the greatest entertainer living.
She always shows up for work and brings others along for the ride. No one else is more important to our culture rn.
It is laughable that anyone doubted she was the artist of the century.
She is one of one.
Beyoncé is truly the last great superstar the world will ever see . And by great superstar I mean Elvis , I mean Michael Jackson. I Feel so lucky to witness her era live . And she’s Black . And she’s a woman . 🤍 I will ALWAYS root for her . What a talent !
Naomi Osaka is human. The problem we have as black women is that we're not allowed to be weak. Give us the same energy you'd give anybody yelling "you suck" to a lily white girl🙄.
