I am more and more convinced that - even though Trump's piss-poor polling to date is largely economically related (gas prices and kitchen table issues), and the consequences of a botched war of choice, THE thing that WILL bring him down, that even MAGA is beginning to see and deplore, that he is overreaching on beyond belief, like nobody's ever seen before, is CORRUPTION.
It's rampant, it's contagious, and it's infecting everything - now, even the World Cup.

Jack Smith spent two years building the most serious federal cases against a president in American history. He indicted on classified documents and January 6. Both were dismissed when Trump took office. A federal judge has since permanently blocked the release of his classified documents report.

He said Thursday that the United States is facing an attack on the rule of law different in kind and scope from anything he has seen in his lifetime. He said judges can no longer trust the Justice Department as currently constituted. He said prosecutors in Minnesota refused retribution orders against families of people ICE shot earlier this year. And he said the pardons for January 6 participants send one message to those pardoned and a second, equally troubling message to every federal law enforcement officer watching.

Smith doesn't have political ambitions. He has no book to sell. He resigned, saw his work buried, and is doing press on the eve of the 250th to say what he believes the record requires.

We're witnessing the biggest wealth transfer in human history. Everything is monetized. The increase in our debt, and the cost to service that debt, is titanic - and nobody responsible for it, cares. They're too busy lying and profiting, lying and profiting.
And that what this really is - a bonanza payoff for the builders of a large powerful disinformation apparatus.
You can watch that disinformation apparatus applying its craft to the peon putzes every day on Fox. They put forth narrative after narrative to convince saps who their enemies are, and who they should blame for their lots.
It's a colossal cultural game of misdirection ... as they rob the country blind.

The Great American State Fair was a poorly planned diversion with sparse crowds and a rickety stage. The 250th birthday of America itself was sadly hijacked and even that was used as a diversion. Even the July 4th fireworks and partisan presidential speech, which occurred mostly on July 5th, was a diversion. What could be so mountainous, so at once heinous and enormous, that would cry out for such titanic diversions? The fact that every day and every minute, while they can, for as long as they can, they're engaged in the largest wealth transfer in history, and - at our collective expense - they're robbing the country blind.
