@TooMuchMortons_ If only National baseball media guys like Passan would report on it rather than gargling the Dodgers nuts. It’s an amazing story and something that the MLB should market. For some reason they hate San Diego. I’ll never understand.
@thestevenwoods If this was the Dodgers, Passan and Rosenthal would have been immediately gushing over this all night long. Guess they aren’t on the Padre payroll…
@baseballbatbros The Rays have reached the WS twice and never won. As a franchise, they are under .500 winning percentage with a losing record in the playoffs. It’s a competitive disadvantage to not have the payroll of other teams. Of course small market teams can succeed here and there.
@AlZeidenfeld I don’t think that shows what you think it shows. It’s not necessarily about “breaking baseball” but why not create a level playing field? For some reason Dodger fans are VERY against that and it’s no surprise why. Not whining, just a question why Dodger fans are afraid of it?
@AlZeidenfeld@Todd_Pierce04 And they have a $600M payroll that allows them to not have to use the minor league system. They can also trade a surplus of MLB talent to restock their minor leagues. Those minor leaguers then provide a way to offer the “best package” for players other teams can’t match.
@LauerHourFC Way to mess up your needless hating. Just enjoy and appreciate life, man. Typical Dodger fan. BTW, Orsillo and Grant are consistently ranked in the top 3 of MLB TV broadcasting crews.
@BenVerlander@FlippinBatsPod So the problem is not the $750M in revenue, deferred contracts and $8B TV deal that they don’t pay full revenue sharing? Got it….
@AlZeidenfeld Yes, I’m doing great, thanks! Unfortunately, the MLB is not and I fear a long nasty lock-out during the next CBA with focus over the lack of competitive balance.
