By day a mild mannered accountant. By night...asleep until the 3 kids wake me up anyway. Super powers include walking over Lego barefoot AND feeling NO pain!
Every time I butter a slice of bread I replay Ian Beale telling Cathy to spread it thin so it lasts longer. Try as I might, can't break this connection.
@ETusty I dunno. I currently own 5 pairs of 34 inch waist jeans. One pair need a belt, two pairs fit perfectly, and two pairs I can't even do up. Additionally I tried a pair on in October in a shop that were the same make & "model" as the pair I was wearing. Couldn't even pull them up :/
In all my years working with retailers I have never had such an appalling experience as with @GardeningExpres. Clearly unable to fulfil orders (the name's a joke), no phone number and zero response to multiple requests for a refund. Avoid at all costs.
@roxley I've blocked over 30 of them by the simple expedience of clicking on the first promoted tweets profile and blocking every suggested follow it came up with. Hasn't solved the problem but has significantly reduced it.
@annacatherinej@luxlifeblog The number of retirees who still think they funded their pension by "paying their stamp" rather than having an entitlement to a pension by paying NI is astounding!
@EdConwaySky Who knows indeed Ed? Interesting to revisit this. Even a month or so ago there was the expectation we'd be back to to 4% or less by the end of the year.
@annacatherinej@luxlifeblog I read the other day that a 10% rate back in the 70s was equivalent to a 2% rate today. Can't find the exact source but appears to check out. Boomers basing their world view on how clever they were rather than how lucky they were is the root of a lot of our problems IMHO
@CharlTaylorPage wish we could do that properly. Have situation here where 16 year old makes himself second dinner then a sandwich at 9. And 14 year old uses all the eggs and flour to make cakes/biscuits/tray bakes. Suddenly its Thursday and a weeks worth of food is all gone :/
