The quality of officiating in youth and HS sports continues to steadily decline. Indiana HS Athletic Association (IHSAA) is begging for people to become a ref/official with PSAs and On-Line & TV commercials. 20 years ago I gave up officiating because of intolerable verbal abuse from fans/parents/players/coaches with little to no support from on site school/event staff. Safety for me and partner(s) were a concern at times. It’s only gotten worse since. Very sad.
