Per @SPGlobal Florida was the only state in the nation that had an effective decrease for home insurance. Some states had 25%-plus increases.

If we make it through the next 6 weeks without any major events and given the decline in reinsurance costs this year, the market will continue to improve and many are forecasting more significant reductions for consumers.

🚨🚨HEART-BREAKING. 💔 A second shooting victim of the 2024 Butler assassination attempt against President Trump has sadly passed away.

This was an entirely preventable tragedy. RIP James "Jim" Copenhaver of Moon Township, Pa.

Copenhover was shot twice -- once in the left arm and once in the abdomen. His family and a third victim are currently suing the Secret Service over its ineptitude and failures at the rally.

Rep. Pramila Jayapal says the majority of people DHS arrested this summer posed “absolutely no threat to public safety.” Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin pushed back.

ICE arrested nearly 51,000 illegal immigrants nationwide in August, the highest monthly total on record, according to DHS.

Mullin said ICE may target someone with a serious criminal record and encounter other illegal immigrants during the arrest. His position is that agents aren't going to simply leave those individuals behind once they determine they're in the country illegally.

He also pointed to families who have lost loved ones to crimes committed by illegal immigrants, saying those deaths were preventable because the offenders shouldn't have been in the country in the first place.

Jayapal argues DHS is spending too many resources arresting people without criminal convictions and pulling agents away from investigations involving serious crime and human trafficking.

Mullin's response was straightforward: “When you decide you're going to break our immigration policies, and you're going to cut the line, you're going to step across our southern border, you're going to step across our northern border. You're still a criminal. We're still gonna arrest you.”

Fort Lauderdale, Aug. 29.

Ronald Jeffery Johnson, 51, is accused of attacking a Fort Lauderdale Police officer inside Broward Health Medical Center.

The officer wrote that Johnson was yelling at medical staff in the ER waiting room, then turned to him and said, “I want to fight you,” before charging and grabbing him.

The officer needed stitches in his hand. Johnson was treated for facial injuries at the same hospital, then booked into Broward’s main jail. His mugshot shows him bloodied and swollen. Jail staff propped him up for the photo.

Charges include aggravated battery on an officer, resisting with violence, assault on an officer, and disorderly conduct. He also had an outstanding Georgia warrant.

Here’s my footage that I filmed from the passenger seat of @nicksortor’s car last night when we drove by the autonomous zone in Madison Wisconsin when he was attacked by them.

Nick got out and made jokes to them to try to get them to laugh.

It did not go well and then started threatening to kill him.

I do not believe they knew who either Nick or I were. I was in the passenger seat with a hood over my head trying to discreetly film. That’s even more scary because we could have been anyone - they didn’t attack us because we were journalists. This could happen to anyone who goes to that autonomous zone.

The black lady who was swinging the pole at Nick was one of the people who obviously wanted to harm me while I was in the autonomous zone yesterday. I was terrified they would recognize me and come after me.

The cops in Madison that we spoke to after the incident were amazing. They very much want to arrest people and get the autonomous zone down. I have nothing negative to say about how they handled it last night after Nick called 911.

If the cops can’t go in there, it’s because the city and the mayor of Madison are not allowing them to.
