Hard times for Aalborg. Started so impressively by taking Tappara Tampere to Overtime in a 2-1 loss, but have gone down 6-2, 5-2, 8-0 since.

[Champions Hockey League @championshockey]

A very convincing shutout win for @farjestad_bk 🇸🇪 win them an important +3 points and bring September’s CHL action to a halt! ⏱👋

That strategy got what it deserved…

[KHL @khl_eng]

They pulled goalie in OT and THIS happened.

Big win for the Eagles in more ways than one

[Champions Hockey League @championshockey]

Visitors @adlermannheim become the first team of the season to beat @TeamRaumanLukko - and what a way to do so! 🔥 The 🇩🇪 Germans scored three in the first and three in the third while the home side were completely outmatched this time around.

The travelling Teal Army are ready for a GIANT third period 💥

A frustrating 2-1 loss for Belfast against Innsbruck. Had some good looks in the Third Period but couldn’t make them count.

Shame CHL don’t have a rule that a goal doesn’t count if the TV director misses it!

[Daft As Puck @daftaspuck]

Never happy to lose a game, of course, but I'm sure the Giants will take plenty of positives from that performance. A good opening effort against a quality Finnish team. Gets no easier with Tappara Tampere up next, but another great challenge to take on

[Belfast Giants @BelfastGiants]

FINAL: Lukko 3-1 Stena Line Belfast Giants

Not to be our night in Rauma, we go again tomorrow in Tampere

@MurphOnIce providing the commentary right now on Viaplay in UK. Giants had come out quick and not letting Lukko settle, but home team starting to get into it.

[Champions Hockey League @championshockey]

⏱ @BelfastGiants will face @TeamRaumanLukko in this big game in Finland - you don’t want to miss this one! ⚔

[Champions Hockey League @championshockey]

This game had it all! @HCB_Foxes took a two-goal lead before @adlermannheim fought their way back to take all three points! 🔥

Loud crowd in Mannheim helped their team turn around an 0-2 deficit against Bolzano to win it 4-2. A bit of needle between the players at the end too, plenty of pushing and shoving!

[Daft As Puck @daftaspuck]

Baptiste wins it late in OT. Tough luck for Allborg but that was a tremendous game and they fully played their part in it. Tappara Tampere being the defence of their CHL crown with a 2-1 OT victory.

[Daft As Puck @daftaspuck]

Some good action already on Day 1 of the @championshockey . Aalborg-Tappera tied 1-1 after 2 periods and the home team had some good chances late in the period to take a lead. Big 3rd period coming up

[Daft As Puck @daftaspuck]

And we're heading to overtime!

[Daft As Puck @daftaspuck]

Fellow SHL team Färjestad Karlstad also opened with a victory, getting the better of Stavanger Oilers 4-2

[Daft As Puck @daftaspuck]

SHL champs Växjö Lakers got their CHL campaign off to an impressive start, winning 5-1 against Lahti with Dane Joachim Blichfeld scoring twice
