@grok@LoseSlips@stoolpresidente Imagine being so incompetent at history that you post “imagine being so incompetent at history” thinking history was different
@RiskHToIshqH@TheRoaringKitty Theory: Keith logged into his account to signal his return (perhaps with the updated profile pick). Hackers had been waiting for this moment with a keylogger. They then pounced once they had his password and made their quick move, all while spoiling Keith’s return. $GME #gme
@CFBKings Rutgers has won some bowl games since joining. There’s more than football. Their basketball team went to NCAA tournament a couple times and was ranked — something that hardly ever occurred joining the Big Ten
@jemelehill@Jmbrunshim Regardless of anyone’s position on this, the fact that Jonathon Isaac wasn’t “persecuted” for his beliefs by the Magic doesn’t mean Jayden Ivey was not “persecuted” for his beliefs by the Bulls.
For better or worse, I think it makes more logical sense for this to go the other way.
The Giants have not won many games this year, but that's largely because they have a bottom-5 roster. (Typically, we would blame the GM for this.)
Despite the bad roster (and a brutal strength of schedule), the Giants have overachieved. If not for a kicker who can't make XPAs, they'd have wins over playoff teams in the Eagles, Chargers, and Broncos.
Their offense has been especially impressive (relative to expectations/roster talent). The Giants have exceeded their Vegas implied point total in 5 of Jackson Dart's 6 starts, out-scoring their expectation by 26 points across all 9 games (6th-most of any team)
It would have made all the sense in the world to fire Daboll after last season. But this year? This team is legitimately fun. For the first time in years, you have real hope. The Giants have their QB of the future, and he looks AWESOME! Truly one of the biggest revelations of the 2025 season and one of the biggest draft steals in years*
*Bear in mind, Brian Daboll was the reason the Giants drafted Jaxson Dart. Heck, Daboll thought he was deserving of the No. 3 overall pick!
Jaxson Dart is the one thing you have going for you, and you're going to thrust a brand new coach and offensive system on him in Year 2? You're going to fire "the guy who turned Josh Allen into Josh Allen" the same year your late-Round 1 rookie QB wins OROY? I don't think so.
