I remember in 2018 when the education sector said that no principal should work in their home county. At our high school, we got a new principal from Embu.

When Mr. Murithi arrived, the school was in a very bad condition, including even the place where principals stayed. But in his first assembly, he said he would rather rent a house outside the school and first focus on improving the school. He said he would build new classrooms and fix the old ones before thinking about building a house for himself.

In just eight years, Mr. Murithi changed the school completely. The old buildings from the 1950s were pulled down, and new modern classrooms were built. He never built a new house for himself and left the old principal’s house as it was.

For him, it was better for students to learn in good, well-ventilated classrooms than for him to live in a nice house that he would leave after his tenure.

Here's what's happening, as far as I can tell.

-The US agreed with Hamas to release Edan Alexander in exchange for lifting the siege on Gaza.

-Edan was released, but Trump betrayed his promise. Israel continues to starve Gazans.

-It seems the US objective was to clear out this one US-Israeli citizen prior to letting Israel impose its violent endgame on Gaza.

-Meanwhile, the US has been pressing Libya to take 1 million Palestinians, who will be ethnically cleansed by Israel.

-Libya... the US is using the country they destroyed in 2011, and which remains extremely weak and vulnerable to imperial pressure.

Evil doesn't even begin to describe what we are witnessing. All with the complicity of Western leaders and the cowardly silence of the Western press.
