As a nurse, the hospital settings will teach you alot about marriage and choosing a life partner.
I've seen HUSBANDS who knew their wives medical history including medications, I've seen a husband who left his wife in the hospital just to follow duty nurse to hangout 😭
I've seen a husband who said he didn't have money to buy his wife anticoagulant injection to prevent blood clots but had money to buy drinks to celebrate childbirth, I've also seen a husband who was uninterested about his wife delivery. I've seen HUSBANDS o, God Abeg 🤲😭
My friend’s boyfriend sends her 300k monthly allowance.
They are NOT married. Not engaged. Just “we’re serious.”
On top of that, he still pays for dates, random shopping, and sometimes sends “just because” money.
Tell me why she still expects him to:
– Pay her full rent
– Buy her wigs
– Fund girls trips
– Handle emergencies
– And still be “romantic and intentional”
And she said if a man can’t comfortably do all that, then he’s not ready for a relationship.
At what point does it stop being love and start looking like a salaried position? 😭
Because the way some of you describe “provider” ehn… it’s giving employment contract with performance review.
Is this relationship or subscription package?
Let’s discuss.
MEN ARE NOT THE PRIZE!!!
Okay;
"Men are not the prize", yet you paid your fellow women 10k for a book on how to bill a man.
"Men are not the prize", yet you do diabolical things to trap a man to marry you.
"Men are not the prize", but after you divorce your husband telling social media how horrible he is, still, your best friend went ahead and married him.
"Men are not the prize", but when your boyfriend propose to you, nobody hear word again online. Only you carry ring-light, post 13 videos about your engagement.
"Men are not the prize", yet your papa exchange you with 12 tubers of yam, 5 bags of rice, 5kegs of palm wine, 2 Nanny goats and 13k for bride price.
"Men are not the prize", But na you dey take risky trip all the way from Jos to Lagos to see that same man for the first time.
"Men are not the prize", but na you dey do fasting and prayer make God give you husband even if na Aki and pawpaw.

Men are the prize because women made it so. If you think its a lie, come out from your marriage first. You fellow woman will still go for him regardless of the red flags he has. — Some of you reading this thread, your friends are already eyeing your boyfriend. They wish it was them that's in your position. If they have just one opportunity to sabotage your relationship and takeOver from you, they will do it!!
This is why when your Husband tells you to cut off from your friend,
He has already seen that she's either a bad influence to you, or she has her eyes on him.
But instead, you question him and defend your girl, until it happens
Then you start crying "I thought you were my friend".
Whether you like to hear it or not, Men are the Prize, and It doesn't make women less Valuable.
Now when my friends fight with their wives, I tell them the truth:
Pride doesn't kill suddenly — it kills slowly, through ignored tears, cold silence, and the nights you turn away instead of holding her So brother... go home Say sorry. Hold her. Listen.
Because love doesn't die from storms...
It dies trom silence
And I am living proof
In her diary, she wrote:
I think he stopped loving me a long time ago. Maybe if I disappear, he'll finally see me." "He calls me dramatic, but I just want him to look at me the way he used to." Love doesn't die from storms... it dies from silence."
They called it suicide. Her family called it depression.
But I know what it was — my pride, my silence, my ego When they lowered her coffin, something inside me went with it. Now her slippers still sit by the door, her perfume still lingers.
I whisper, "You said you wouldn't bother me anymore... but you bother my soul every single day."
It's been a year. I stopped drinking. I light a candle for her every week
And I pray, "God, if You ever give me another chance at love, teach me to listen before it's too late."
One evening she asked me to go with her to church. I said, "Stop being dramatic. Prayers won't fix what's already dead." She didn't argue. She just nodded and went alone. That was the last time.
Then came that Friday night I came home drunk. My wife was sitting on the bed, wearing a white dress, her hair neatly tied. She looked peaceful - too peaceful.
She said, "Can we talk?" I groaned, "Now? I'm tired." She smiled softly and said, "Okay. I won't bother you anymore.".
I turned off the light and slept.
That was the last thing she ever said to me In the morning, she wasn't in bed. The stove was on — no food.
Then I saw the bathroom door slightly open. She was sitting on the floor, her head resting on the wall, an empty bottle beside her, and her diary open on her lap My wife was gone💔💔💔💔
After the burial, everything changed. No laughter, no singing, no church do Our home turned cold and quiet.
She'd serve my food and go to bed silently. Sometimes I heard her crying softly in the bathroom, and I turned away That's the kind of man I had become — the kind who can sleep beside heartbreak and still snore through it.
One night, she asked, "Do you still love me?" I didn't look up from my phone. I said, "I'm still here, aren't I?'
She whispered, "You're here... but your heart isn't." That sentence still burns me every day.
She became silent. She started writing in a small diary Every evening she'd sit outside, lost in her thoughts, while I scrolled my phone pretending to be busy I once teased, "Are you writing love letters?" She smiled faintly and said, "Something like that."
I started staying out late ignoring her stories, her feelings. When she cried, I pretended to sleep. I thought comforting her made me weak. I became too proud to be kind
Then my wife lost our baby Seven months pregnant, she started bleeding one night. She called me, but I was out drinking. When I came home, she sat on the floor, blood on her dress, holding the baby's ? blanket She whispered, "I lost the baby."
And all I said was, "Why didn't you call me earlier?"
That night broke her completely. She cried until her voice was gone i just stood there, angry — not at what happened, but because she made me feel guilty. That's what pride does — it blinds you until your wife's pain becomes your irritation 💔
Maybe if one man hears or reads this, another woman won't die the same way. 😭💔💔
I once thought being a man meant being tough — no apologies, no weakness, no bending.
I've never told this story before... but maybe if I do, it will save someone else's wife
When I met my wife, she was everything soft in this world
She used to say, "You make me feel safe," and I'd reply, "That's my job."
But I've learned... feeling safe isn't the same as feeling loved
When life started going well, I changed. My wife once said she wanted to open a small salon Laughed and
told her business wasn't for women like her. She said
"Okay." I didn't realize that "Okay" was pain giving up.

Normalise saying "Astagfirullahi wa atubu ilaihi" the moment you feel jealous, get evil thoughts, feel disappointed and hurt. Trust me, all the negativity will flee and you will feel normal plus Allah will become happy with you!
