Since you both seem to be the most into tech, I feel that you guys could provide the best insight into the tech. I started with Martyn's webpage with a (old?) version of his streaming kit, but I want to get some perspective on updates. I have a base setup now.

I'm working on a recording kit for online college classes. I teach engineering at Michigan Tech, follow your videos, and have a need to record/stream my classes.
I'd like your input as to updating my very basic setup.

I want to start using OBS for recording me writing notes, showing MATLAB Code (mechanical system animations), and doing physical demos. To help student engagement I want to make the recordings look almost like a stream does.
I follow both of y'all and some Hermits on YouTube.
