@XSaltedOne@MikeStrawMedia I genuinely believe this is a necessary evil, as a lifelong Xbox user of 25 years, I want Xbox to survive and thrive.
I don't think Xbox can keep throwing money at games and studios like they have been in recent years.
They need to refocus, and that sadly means making cuts.
@tomwarren Cold hard truth is, Xbox are extremely bloated and have pumped a lot of funding into mediocre games that have failed to hit high standards critically and failed even more so commercially.
As harsh as it sounds, hard decisions have to be made if Xbox is to grow or even survive.
@XSaltedOne@MikeStrawMedia Are Xbox supposed to continue to fund games that loose money out of good will?
If a studio is making good profit margins, they're probably not in the firing lines.
If a studio is loosing money, they're probably in danger. It sucks, but it's buisness. Xbox needs to change.
@MikeStrawMedia Most obvious picks are Compulsion and Double fine, Obsidian being let go would be a big shock, but after Outer worlds 2 and Avowed... You never know.
As much as I hate to admit it though, Xbox has become far too bloated and changes are inevitable. Games are expensive.
@doot_dodo@oVORTEXo@JezCorden No, thank you! My 5 year old absolutely loved Kabuto park so much that we are getting him a terrarium later in the year!
A wonderfully charming game, low stimulation with some challenge and rewarding gameplay.
Loved it.
This is not correct:
• In the interview, I am asked about a comment I made before being hired at XBOX, then state that I was only 10 days into the role, and that I am not stating the company's plans or beliefs
• What I do say is that ads should be used to offer more affordable alternatives alongside today's ad-free experiences, in the hopes more could play as a result. Similar to how Netflix and Disney+ have ad-tiers with all the same content, but at half the price or so
• At no point do I even mention in-game ads
(I personally believe interrupting the gameplay experience would be bad)

@WinC_Gaming Sounds like things behind the scenes at XBOX are much worse than many people thought.
I hope they can turn it around, but reading that doesn't fill me with confidence. 🙃
@HeroGamingXP@JezCorden@thiccdotexe Xbox do miss out on some large games though that do catch the public eye, especially eastern games. It's absolutely something Asha needs to address and try to do better with.
@HeroGamingXP@JezCorden@thiccdotexe 99% of the third party games on PlayStation are on Xbox. So the narrative of "third party games don't support Xbox" isn't really correct.
Also there are actually a lot of third party games which are on Xbox which aren't on PlayStation, Subnautica 2 being a recent example
@HeroGamingXP@JezCorden@thiccdotexe So between the fact Xbox has a very strong Attatch rate, a large (all be it not the biggest) audience who have been shown to buy games and play various genres, I don't really see a strong argument for skipping the platform outside of lacking the dev power to do so.
@HeroGamingXP@JezCorden@thiccdotexe Speaking for myself personally, I own over 3,000 games and have gamepass. I've been introduced to many new genres and experiences with Gamepass and have went on to buy many games or sequels to games I would never have even known existed without gamepass.
@gabriel47097124@tomwarren I own over 3,000 games on my Xbox. I'm hardly part of a problem for their buisness buddy.
They need to sell more consoles and they won't do that if their games keep going to PlayStation.
@HeroGamingXP@JezCorden@thiccdotexe First party games on Nintendo sure but historically speaking, third party games sell better on Xbox especially if you look at a sale per console basis.
Attatch rate for third party games is usually higher on Xbox.
