A warm welcome to the next new Board of Directors member we’re introducing, Charles Jergl!

Charles Jergl is the Vice President of Programs and Services at @DailyBreadTO. Charles became involved in food security issues in 2005, when as a food bank client, he participated in a Community Based Research Project on poverty organized by Daily Bread. In his current role oversees training, program support, and development of 214 food programs including meal programs and food banks. We’re looking forward to the expertise he will bring to our board!

That’s why we're advocating for a new #CanadaRentersCredit that will provide immediate support to low-income renters and prevent homelessness as we make progress in building new housing.

👉 An alarming 88% of Toronto food bank clients live in unaffordable housing

We distributed a mind-blowing 40,767,776 pounds of food to our network of over 200 programs during the last fiscal year.
