๐ฅ BREAKING ยท Who owes you? ยท 2 of 2
๐ Follow each token back to whoever has to pay you.
๐ด Robinhood's token leads to Robinhood's company in Jersey. It holds the shares, but you have no claim on the company itself.
๐ต DTCC's token is the same share with the same ID number, kept on the official record, all the way back to the company.
๐ฌ Same price on the screen. Very different thing to own.

๐ฅ BREAKING ยท Same stock, two tokens ยท 1 of 2
๐ DTCC, the company that keeps the official record of most US stocks, says its own stock tokens launch this month. It starts with 25: some big US stocks, ETFs and Treasuries.
๐ Put it next to Robinhood's token and the gap is clear. DTCC says its token keeps the same ID number, the same rights and the same protections as the real share. Robinhood's paperwork says its token gives you none of that.

@uselinkinv Two different stories on one chart. On the 3-month view SIL has slid from above $100 to $82.50, but zoom out to 5 years and it's still up about 133%.
@Monetary_Metals Worth adding that CME posts its gold and silver delivery notices every day, so anyone can check how much actually settles in metal instead of guessing.
@pmbug For anyone new to this, the EFP is the gap between the COMEX futures price and London spot. A gap that wide pays someone to take delivery in New York and ship the metal to London, which fits the 552 delivery notices you flagged.
@KatusaResearch Good to see this side by side. Miners have been the forgotten trade for a long time, so even a small shift in who's leading gets my attention.
@BrianGoodner A 1.3% jump in one month is a big one. For miners it cuts both ways: what they sell gets pricier, but fuel, equipment and labor do too. Curious which side you think wins this round.
@TaviCosta Roughly 10% free cash flow and still the cheapest group on the board. Most people haven't looked at miners in years, and numbers like this are usually how that starts to change.
Agree the debt pile is the whole story. Where we see it differently: this chart called for long yields to slide back toward zero, and they've gone higher since it was made. Either way, banks holding old low-rate bonds feel the squeeze, and that's a big reason we keep watching gold and silver.

@DonDurrett That would fit. Normally the miners fall harder than silver on a pullback, so seeing them hold while silver gave back $4 says a lot of holders aren't in a hurry to sell. Curious to see if that holds up next week.
@mypreciousilver Really helpful that you separated new metal arriving from more paper claims on metal already sitting there. 115 tons in a week is a lot either way. Thanks for spelling it out.
@BroadLuis Broad stocks up while miners slide again is a tough split to sit through. Weeks like this are when you find out who's really holding for the long run.
@HedgehogTrader An RSI washout down to 18 is about as worn out as miner sentiment gets. Seeing it climb back that fast in a week tells me plenty of holders didn't throw in the towel.
๐ The Daily Print News van just hit the open road

๐ฅ Hidden Under the Pit ยท Chapter 2 of 3
What happens when a "low-grade gold" pit starts showing silver veins? The veins keep getting longer.
Brimstone was an old Hycroft pit known only for low-grade gold. In late 2023, drilling there hit quartz veins (cracks in the rock filled with quartz) carrying very high-grade silver. One stretch ran 4.6 meters at 4,974 g/t silver.
๐ Then the map kept growing:
โข Nov 2023: the Brimstone vein system was about 300 m long
โข Jan 2024: more than 800 m, and still open
โข Two high-grade lines mapped: Vortex to Brimstone (800+ m) and Vortex to Camel (600+ m)
โข Another hole, H23C-5790, hit 20 m at 869.9 g/t silver
CEO Diane Garrett said the team took "a fresh view" of the property, going back through the data and rethinking the geology.
๐ง Hycroft's own 3D view of the holes: https://t.co/oSiwcLsEIR
๐ Next: which way the silver runs underground, and why Hycroft started talking about mining underground. That's Chapter 3, tomorrow morning.
