Buffett has a money mind. It doesn't come naturally to most folks, but it's ingrained within him as is his love for Coca-Cola.
All of us can have a money mind with practiced patience and discipline. It's a muscle. Build it.
And if you don't have it yet, listen to old Berkshire Hathaway meetings every day and you will.
It doesn’t matter how the market values $SOFI, whether as a bank or fintech. Not for a long term holder. What matters is the earnings and earnings growth.
That takes time to show year after year with higher and higher ROE. We all want a shortcut, but we just need to keep buying these dips and let Noto run this bank into the top 10 of the US.
The sub $20 price is a gift. Let’s not wish it away so fast.
@TheLongInvest They deserve a $100 stock price. It’s fair.
A company that has stalled earnings deserves a PE of 10-12. Same as $PYPL. Same as $NKE which has a few more steps to get there.
@realroseceline Many have a cash flow problem and think trading is the answer.
The answer is to make much more than you spend and keep buying cheap assets.
And sell seldomly.
It’s so simple, and human nature can’t stand boredom.
I think it will get to $30 pretty quick after it passes $20 and stays above it.
Yet, you’re right. There will be a lot of selling pressure around $30 unless that coincides with something spectacular with the business or an external event like S&P500 inclusion and a rate cut in 2027 followed by more expectations of rate cuts.
Feels pretty good when your portfolio is sitting at all time highs and you look at each holding and see that they are clearly not overvalued based on any reasonable metric, and earning power 5yrs out being the most critical.
It’s a great position to be in. All time high, superb fundamentals of each businesses and the fPE is near record lows for each one of em. $NU, $SOFI, $NFLX, $UBER and $AMZN.
Let’s go!
@Ashton_1nvests 100%
It will take years to see what AVs will really do the ride hailing market. In that time $UBER will generate $10s of billions in cash.
Another way to ask this question is what growing business would have a PE of 2 in 10y if the business keeps executing and the price stays flat.
For $NVDA, that would require about $2.5T in earnings. A tall order as it would have to eat the world to do so.
$SOFI has a decent chance to deliver $11B in earnings in 10y, and would probably be my pick to get to a PE of 2 fastest.

$NFLX, a 30y old dinosaur that streams videos over the internet. Pretty boring stuff, they buy and make content and let others view it in about 200 different countries. The service is about 5x cheaper than cable and so it’s kinda recession proof too. Boring, steady, growing margins with great ROIC. The media likes to add drama since everyone knows $NFLX, but there’s nothing to see here except a growing library of decent content.
