I had a traumatic train ride today. It is very sad to see how people do not respect public spaces enough. When we are in the public, we should not shout or even talk loudly and disrespect every individual’s personal space in Public. As artists, we have a 100 thoughts running. And we thrive in silence. Everyone can understand the initial excitement when travelling in a big group in a train. But imagine a group of 40 middle aged adults occupying a 56 seater coach and talking so loudly to everyone for 5 hours. Non stop. Problem in India is nobody can question them. It is an unsaid rule that the other 16 of us which aren’t part of the group should simply endure them. So I requested the TTE if I could get another seat in a different coach. He tried but unfortunately since the train was full, I had to simply stay in the same coach but a different seat. Suddenly a group of 8, that was already yapping and laughing non stop, started playing UNO. And then I requested the TTE if anything could be done. He requested them to stop and they immediately stopped. But after a couple of minutes TTE came back and mockingly asked them ‘yaake sir galaatte maadtaideera?’ (Why are you creating nuisance?) and they had a good laugh with him and said, ‘sir Neevu banni, adona’(Sir you also join, let’s play). So the concern here is not about who won. Myself, along with them, as Indians, lost the Civic sense game. When will we as a nation improve our public behaviour?

A historic day for Bengaluru as the US Consulate was dedicated to the city today!

This event reflects Bengaluru's growing importance on the global stage and will immensely benefit lakhs of Bengalureans, including students, professionals, and families, by easing their US travel and visa requirements.

The US Consulate was announced during PM Shri @narendramodi Ji’s visit to the US in June 2023, following a commitment to open an Indian Mission in Seattle on a reciprocal basis.

Since being elected MP in 2019, I've worked with utmost priority to fulfill this long-standing demand, meeting with @DrSJaishankar and the then US Ambassador to India, and making repeated requests on several occasions.

EAM Jaishankar’s personal interest and efforts were instrumental in making this consulate a reality.

Hon'ble External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar, DCM Shri @DKShivakumar, US Consul General @USAmbIndia, Ministers Shri @MBPatil and Shri @PriyankKharge, MP Shri @PCMohanMP, and Dr @DrCNManjunath were also present on this momentous occasion.

This consulate is a long-awaited step towards a brighter future for Namma Bengaluru.

Big update for Bengalureans -
January date set for the establishment of the US Consulate in Namma Ooru

For years, Bengaluru—the IT capital contributing 40% of India’s IT revenue—lacked a US Consulate, forcing residents to travel to Chennai or Hyderabad for visa work. I made it my Mission to fulfil this as the MP for this wonderful city.

I wrote to EAM Dr S Jaishankar in November 2019, advocating for this critical need. He called it "a no-brainer & a compelling ask" and assured action during his Bengaluru visit in March 2023.

I also raised the issue with then-US Ambassador Kenneth Juster in 2020, emphasizing Bengaluru’s role in Indo-US ties. After persistent efforts and PM Sri @NarendraModi Ji's decisive push during his 2023 US visit, the establishment of the consulate was finalised on a reciprocal basis.

Thrilled to see this long-standing demand finally materialising today with the announcement by US Ambassador Eric Garcetti.

Grateful to PM Modi Ji & @DrSJaishankar for their relentless support. This marks a milestone moment for Bengaluru!

ಇಡೀ ವಿಜಯಪುರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯೊಂದರಲ್ಲೇ 15 ಸಾವಿರ ಎಕರೆಗಳಿಗೂ ಅಧಿಕ ಭೂಮಿ ಅತಿಕ್ರಮಣವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ತಿಕೋಟಾ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನ ಹೊನವಾಡ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಒಂದರಲ್ಲೇ 1,200 ಎಕರೆ ಗಳಷ್ಟು ವಕ್ಫ್ ಆಸ್ತಿ ಎಂದು ನಮೂದು ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರೆ ವಕ್ಫ್ ಬೋರ್ಡ್ ನಿಂದ ಯಾವ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಅತಿಕ್ರಮಣ ನಡೆದಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಊಹಿಸಬಹುದು.

ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗಷ್ಟೇ ವಿಜಯಪುರಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿರುವ ವಕ್ಫ್ ವ್ಯವಹಾರಗಳ ಸಚಿವ ಶ್ರೀ @BZZameerAhmedK ರವರು, ಮುಂಬರುವ 15 ದಿನಗಳ ಒಳಗೆ ವಕ್ಫ್ ಆಸ್ತಿ ನೋಂದಣಿಗೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಡಳಿತವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿರುವುದು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯ ತಂದಿದೆ.

ತಮ್ಮ ತಾತ - ಮುತ್ತಾತಂದಿರ ಕಾಲದಿಂದಲೂ ಕೃಷಿ,ಇತರ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಿರುವ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳಿಗೆ ತರಾತುರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಟಿಸ್ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಎಷ್ಟೋ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿರುವ ಅಂಶವೆಂದರೆ, ವಕ್ಫ್ ಬೋರ್ಡ್ ತನ್ನ ಆಸ್ತಿಯೆಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸಿರುವ ಪತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಆ ಜಾಗ ವಕ್ಫ್ ಗೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದರ ಕುರಿತಾಗಿ ಒಂದೇ ಒಂದು ಸಾಲು ಕೂಡ ಇರದೇ ಇರುವುದು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯ ತಂದಿದೆ.

ಕೆಲವೊಂದು ದಾಖಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ವಕ್ಫ್ ಬೋರ್ಡ್ - ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಅನ್ವಯ ಎಂದು ನಮೂದಿಸಿ ನೋಟಿಸ್ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಆಡಳಿತ ನಡೆಸಬೇಕಿರುವುದು ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ವಿರಚಿತ ಸಂವಿಧಾನದ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಹೊರತು, ಷರಿಯಾ ಅಥವಾ ಜಮೀರ್ ಅಹ್ಮದ್ ಖಾನ್, ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ನವರ ಅಣತಿಯಂತೆ ಅಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.

ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರಕಾರ ,ಸಚಿವರ ಒತ್ತಡದ ಮೇಲೆ ತರಾತುರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಕ್ಫ್ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸ್ತಿ ನಮೂದಿಗೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಪಟ್ಟಲ್ಲಿ ಕಠಿಣ ಕ್ರಮ ಎದುರಿಸಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ.

ತನ್ನ ತುಷ್ಟೀಕರಣದ ನೀತಿಯ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ ವಕ್ಫ್ ಕಾಯ್ದೆ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾನೂನು ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ಲೂಟಿಗೆ ಇಳಿಯುವ ಶಾಸನಬದ್ಧ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು @INCIndia ಒದಗಿಸಿದ್ದೇ ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಗೊಂದಲಗಳಿಗೆ ಮೂಲ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಪ್ರಮಾದವನ್ನು ಸರಿಪಡಿಸುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಶೀಘ್ರವೇ ತಿದ್ದುಪಡಿ ಮಸೂದೆ ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತರಲು ಹೊರಟಿದೆ.

ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಶ್ರೀ @narendramodi ರವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ತರಲು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿರುವ ವಕ್ಫ್ ತಿದ್ದುಪಡಿ -2024 ಮಸೂದೆ ಜಾರಿಗೆ ಬರುವ ಮೊದಲು ವಕ್ಫ್ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಆಸ್ತಿ ಕಬಳಿಸುವ ಹುನ್ನಾರವಿದು. ನಾನು ರಾಜ್ಯದ ರೈತರು & ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಲ್ಲಿ ವಿನಂತಿಸುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ವಕ್ಫ್ ಬೋರ್ಡ್ ನಿಂದ ನೋಟಿಸ್ ಬಂದಿದೆ ಎಂದ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಗಾಬರಿ, ಆತಂಕಗೊಳ್ಳುವ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಕಾನೂನು ಹೋರಾಟದ ಮೂಲಕ ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಅಕ್ರಮಗಳ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಸೆಣಸುವ ಎಲ್ಲ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳಿವೆ ಎಂಬುದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮನವರಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

Interacted with farmers of Honvada village, Tikota Taluk, Vijayapura District this morning.

Over 1,500 acres of their ancestral agricultural land with valid documents have been unilaterally claimed by the Waqf Board, threatening these farmers livelihoods and generational property rights.

For vote-bank politics & minority appeasement, Congress Govts has empowered the Waqf Board with unbridled power to claim land across the country.

Both in 1995 and 2013, Congress govts gave the Waqf Board unchecked powers to declare any land as Waqf after a quick inquiry, rule through its own tribunal with final authority, and also remove encroachments under Section 54.

Modi 3.0 Govt is committed to bringing in systemic reforms through the JPC on The Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024. We are also escalating such cases to the committee's attention to ensure justice and bring in lasting solutions.

Will fight such cases in the High Court to safeguard farmer's rightful ownership and ensure no one is deprived of their land. No injustice will be tolerated.
