Bro cooked. Almost all the criticisms people have thrown at this show and at Hal's characterisation has been PURPOSEFUL. "Why is the ring always out of charge" "why is his suit ugly" "why is he paranoid and untrusting". These ppl like the idea of these characters more than the characters themselves and want to restrict any potential added layers because it goes against the idealised, surface level version they have in their heads.
