@AutisticCoach_ 2/ it's around 900€ (2022). With a formal diagnosis one can claim official handicap status, which might or might not enable one to get access to support. But again support etc is focused on autistic children. Late diagnosed autistic adults fall into a support gap.
@AutisticCoach_ 1/ Germany: most diagnosis is still focused on children, so many tests still require testimonials from primary school etc. Wait time is up to a year or more currently, With a referral from a doctor costs are covered if you join the governmental health insurance, if not...
Do my #ActuallyAutistic comrades FEEL their emotions or THINK about their emotions?
Do you embody them, experience them, or intellectualize them?

@DrAliceNicholls I have my daily routines & keep them up. One big requirement I need is being alone. As long as I have as much alone space & time I wish to have I'm happy.
@helen_barnowl@jonjominns Masking means hiding autistic traits by copying neuronormative behaviour to adapt. That's very close to living a permanent lie.
Neurotypical (NT) communication is often brief and indirect because NTs can usually fill in the gaps and thus expect that others can too.
Neurodivergent communication is often detailed and direct because we can find it hard to fill in gaps, so naturally don’t expect others to.
