Very sad news. Denny’s travelled up each week to have a yarn and chuckle with John as much as they came to watch the game. Always a smile on his face and took great pride in his team role last year. RIP Johny!

We are saddened to learn of the passing of John Brooks.
John was a significant part of CCC & the VSDCA, umpiring over 200 games over 20+ years.
He was a familiar face at all 1st XI games & last season was assistant team manager.
Sincerest condolences to his family, RIP John.
