Mukanya pucet, gak gerak
Sebut terus namanya. Ingat terus nama-nama mereka.

Writing the screenplay is the hardest part of the whole process for me, but it's also the most important one. I start by writing down many pages of notes. Everything that comes to my mind.
The first version of the story might be just a few sentences long. This helps me to understand the overall shape which I can quickly adjust. The second draft might be a few paragraphs. The third a few pages.
With each version more details are added, but the story is also evolving and changing. I find it useful to constantly ask questions to myself and to write down multiple possible answers.
Seeing them written down helps me to realise which would be the most exciting direction to go towards. The final script is 35 pages long. That's because without dialogue the text is more dense on the page.
l've never reread the final draft since finishing it. I made the animatic based on my memory of the script. I thought that if the idea is strong enough, l'll remember it and put it into the film.
Making the animatic was like writing another draft of the script. It was very loose and improvisational. Actually no one from the team read the script. I'd show them the animatic instead, because it conveyed my intended emotion a lot more clearly.
