I’m no longer involved in FAI but I can vouch for the financial integrity. We played no games with money. And everyone involved was involved at high personal cost (meaning we lived in poverty more or less). Sure we had some scoundrels, dirt bags, and con men come around (they’re the ones most active on social media today attacking FAI), but those charged with the financial stewardship are beautiful people and heaven will reward them.

Courtney, I’m grateful for you gracious attitude. But fact if the matter is, most ministries screw people out of money so the leaders can live lavish lives while promoting a lie. FAI has many faults. But financial integrity isn’t one of them. All our people have been eating shit for years living off nothing. The only people on salary were the people who did the financials, *so that* things were clean and clear. I’m happy to clash with anyone over FAI’s financial integrity. And I’m proud in the Lord to say we never became like most ministries who are basically just scams to raise money. Which is one of the reasons I don’t want to be involved in vocational ministry anymore. Most of it is smoke and mirrors.

Everything anyone gave or continues to give to FAI goes to ministry. It was and still is clean as a whistle. For twenty years I lived month to month off of personal support which wasn’t enough to make ends meet and FAI augmented it during the Covid years because I was struggling to pay the bills and feed my kids.

My businesses now have nothing to do with FAI and I can assure you are not being financed by FAI. They belong to my family.

FAI is clean financially. And so am I.

To clarify: I’m happy to have left the weird (very weird) world of vocational ministry; I haven’t left what I believe about the Gospel of the Kingdom. Leaving vocational ministry is something I should’ve done a long time ago.

I’ll have unpack everything in the days ahead. For now, I have work to do.
