Accountability key. Those on w/l account for about 20% of GP contacts often leading to even more referrals, prescribing etc. not to mention frustration.
A direct point of contact with Trust and transparent information would be fundamental change
@rcgp_ni “green inhaler” policy successfully instituted in our practice last year despite Covid restrictions. Thanks for a talk at annual conference highlighting the issue. https://t.co/Y2NMMb6YlD
@HSCBoard @rcgp_ni@BMANI_GP Practice stats. Face to face contacts at pre-Covid level, phone first contacts 25% higher, all the organising for and administering Covid and flu vaccines, staff and dr shortages. To also have to count/report every contact is beyond impossible.
@RobinSwannMoH A few of the many seen by me today- 2 elderly ladies with head injuries, one wrist fracture, one dvt, one child with fitting episode, one acute abdomen. All “didn’t want to bother services at a weekend when everywhere is so busy”. I’m distraught on their behalf.
@rcgp_ni@BMANI_GP 308 flu vaccines given yesterday to our very appreciative patients. Huge thanks to practice manager, receptionists and clinical staff who gave up their Halloween Saturday to facilitate this. Same again next week and then it’s Covid booster time.
