The match against Bournemouth highlighted Alexis MacAllister's remarkable growth in the "6" role.
Formerly not recognized as a depp playmaker during his tenure at Brighton, he has now transformed into a dependable and secure controller.
An area that clearly required enhancement was his defensive skills, and he demonstrated notable progress with commendable efforts in ball recovery, interceptions, and winning duels.

@big_business_ People need to understand Drake’s importance in rap. Without Drake there won’t be no beef, no back and forth subs, old heads like Jay Z will probably be comfortable but here is is dropping a freestyle and teasing a potential album. Drake is keeping these niggas on their toes
@ianyoungkop Every time he passed it, he made a movement to receive again. That’s the type of mentality we need in midfield if we actually want to be a team that controls games regularly. Nyoni isn’t there yet, with time he will be. We need to be in the market for this type of profile
Slot’s task next season feels bigger than just new signings or having a fully fit squad. Those things help, but the bigger issue is belief.
Right now this team doesn’t look like it sees itself as a real competitor. This season seems to have drained a lot of that confidence. Going winless in the final month only adds to it. Even his demeanour after the final whistle today didn’t do much to lift that feeling.
Long 7 months ahead for him and everyone above him.
Why are people reading Salah’s post as him throwing Slot under the bus? His message felt more like a warning to everyone at the club — owners, recruitment, coaches and players — that the club is slowly drifting away from the identity and standards that brought success over the last decade, which is a fair point.
Could there be some selfish motive behind it? Maybe. But that still doesn’t make his point untrue.
The challenge for Slot now is making sure whatever style and structure he’s trying to build actually sticks. If it doesn’t, the noise around his management will only grow louder.
You mentioned preparation and fitness, and I think that’s a really important point because what we see on the pitch is usually a reflection of everything happening behind the scenes.
You also mentioned that OOP is downstream of IP, which I agree with as well. But then the question becomes: who is responsible for making the IP structure function properly? Who is responsible for the players’ preparation and fitness levels?
Regardless of how anyone feels about Slot, if he doesn’t at least set the tone to address these obvious issues heading into next season, we’ll end up right back in the same position again.
From Slot’s press conferences, it feels like he’s heavily relying on this summer’s signings to elevate the team. But realistically, how many players can we actually bring in? And if the club’s model is still focused on signing younger profiles, how much immediate impact can they truly make?
Even players like Milos Kerkez, Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike have all had mixed periods in their development.
Ultimately, Slot’s biggest task is building a structure and environment that helps the team grow collectively. That’s the difficult part — and only time will tell whether he’s capable of doing it. #LFC
You don’t need someone to come out and yell at you”ITS A TRANSITION SEASON”
Common sense should be able to tell you that. Sack Slot, bring in Alonso or whoever, we will still be here. UCL qualification and maybe a domestic trophy win will still be the most realistic objective until we get the right players in and build a squad that can compete

@samuelap1_ Ok great he doesn’t mind first line of pressure. The next question is how efficient is this approach? You keep mentioning what Slot wants and how he sees the game but you never talk about the efficiency of his approach. And please done mention “he won the league last season”
@samuelap1_@lfce11 Who had the better attackers? Who had the better attackers against Wolves away, who had the better attackers against Burnley and Leeds at home?
