Breaking: 300 federal and local agents doing raid at LA's historic MacCarthur park -- where open drug use and the 'fentantyl fold' can be seen on any given day. Multi-month undercover operation. DEA tells me the Sinaloa cartel brings the fentanyl & meth into the area controlled by 18th street gang, a rival of MS-13. 19 kilos of fentanyl valued at $8-$10m already seized in one house raid this morning. Just a few hours ago, in the park I witnessed a young man do the fentanyl fold and hit the ground ... go unconscious/OD ... and be left with Narcan.
NEW: Florida teacher arrested after police found a mixture of fentanyl and cocaine in his backpack.
44-year-old Christopher D. Toukonen of Lely High School was arrested after school administrators were told that he was allegedly using drugs in his classroom.
Toukonen has been booked into jail on felony charges.
"Upon learning of the arrest, Collier County Public Schools (CCPS) immediately removed the employee from the classroom and initiated the termination process," Lely High School principal Jen Bledsoe said.
"The matter is currently under criminal investigation, and the District is cooperating fully with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office."
The only thing more confusing than the fentanyl zombie fencing around MacArthur Park businesses in downtown Los Angeles is how this Yoshinoya actually stays open.
HAPPENING NOW: Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson has lost control of her streets.
Parts of Chinatown-ID are packed with drug dealers slinging fentanyl, people are recklessly starting fires on sidewalks, and the black market of stolen goods is thriving.
There is no way Wilson has this under control by June when FIFA World Cup games are played in the city. Remind me again what the plan is to address this disaster zone?

This is what families, children and tourists have to witness daily on the TTC. Not to mention the risk of breathing in second-hand fentanyl smoke. And the TTC wonders why ridership and revenues are down.
Spencer Pratt reveals a Los Angeles City Council Member argues “There’s no difference” between encampments 1 foot or 500 feet from a school”
Parents complained about the gangs at the encampment selling fentanyl by the school
The council member rolls her eyes and said “whatever”
This is a real incident and actually happened, I verified it
Crime is just as bad as ever
“The idea that crime is down, it's like the anecdotally, you ask anybody in LA, they would not agree to that. Most people think crime is up home. Invasions are fucking ubiquitous. It's everywhere.
So I spoke with these SWAT guys the other day and I said, you know, are you guys having a lot of, you know, gang stand out? He said, actually, no. The gangs business as usual”
California lets criminals right back onto the streets so this isn’t surprising, California implemented policies including zero bail for many misdemeanors and Prop 47
NEW: Homeless addicts on Skid Row in LA are now using dogs to test their drugs for fentanyl.
They feed the dogs the drugs first.
If the dog survives, they take it themselves. If not, they just get another dog.
A nonprofit called ‘Starts With One Today’ is sounding the alarm: dogs are being abused, neglected, thrown away, sold for drugs, and used as living test kits.
This is the disgusting reality of what unchecked homelessness and drug policies have created in California.
Dogs are paying the price for failed leadership.
