People arguing for a “humanitarian pause” in Gaza are not advocating a “ceasefire”. A ceasefire means a cessation of hostilities with a view towards negotiating a settlement; releasing hostages; etc. A humanitarian pause means stopping hostilities for 9-12 hours, to allow in some aid, that you will then bomb. I was actually thinking about this the other day. Like….alcohol is actually classed as a depressant. Even the fact that many people are unable to have a good time without it is interesting to me. That’s a dependency, and the psych in me does wonder hmm what’s the root cause?
