@RCNNRN Having worked on AMU for the last 4 years as HCA I can confidently say, it's a great starting point for NRN. The variety of patients' problems will help nurses to figure out which way to pursue further career. I'm definitely going to the community after I qualify.

@RCNNRN I hate seeing mistreatment and I always speak up. Whether it is intentional bullying or unintentional microaggression due to lack of knowledge/ education. Especially when vulnerable and naive people are victims of someone who tries to show their power of position.

@RCNNRN Not all exams. But not all essays either. I had 1 A&P exam, 2x safe meds, 6x essays Some students are failing their essays because they're submitting them in the wrong font size or reference style. Pre-recorded sessions also aren't good if you can't even ask questions.

@RCNNRN It's not even the theory we're learning. Just how to write the perfect essay. Theory blocks should be more about actual theoretical knowledge less about essays. And we need more placement hours as very few NQN and STN feel really ready to go out there wearing blue

@tokyoslumbers Repeatedly promising to do something and those things are not done. Telling me when the next appointment will be, yet waiting months more for the letter. Or saying "I will send the referral today" turning to a lie weeks later. Scandal

@RCNNRN I currently work on AMU in a local hospital. Although, I will only be graduating this year, I have worked there for 4 years now. Apart from giving meds, I've done most things nurses do. Therefore, I got a RN job on rehab to learn new skills

@ADDitudeMag If people were diagnosed with ADHD in childhood rather than receiving late diagnosis in adulthood, and started treatment in a timely manner, there is a possibility that they wouldn't have substance misuse problems.

@The_DogWalker I noticed the deterioration in customer support since the COVID pandemic rather than Brexit. Many people have changed jobs during or post-lockdown. I met a number of porters/cleaners/HCAs recently in the hospital I work in who came from the call centre background
