The @pmnewsnigeria , I see that your desperation and those of the @officialABAT’s @NGRPresident’s @NigeriaGov and their officials like @fkeyamo as well as their ruling party @OfficialAPCNg officials like @Morka2Felix, for Oby Ezekwesili’s praise is definitely real.
That’s why 24 hours later, you have failed to delete your manufactured quote-headline “Tinubu has achieved what many doubted in Nigeria’s economy” that you fraudulently attributed to me.
You deliberately lied to the public by crafting and spreading a sentence I never uttered in any form.
And you have persisted in keeping it up on all your social media handles to deceive the public.
Your @pmnewsnigeria exemplifies those among Nigerian journalists and media houses that have willingly and shamelessly sold themselves and their profession to our country’s vile politicians who are destroying the country and people.
I won’t even waste my time suing your rag-sheet @pmnewsnigeria because after all, like-media-like-judiciary in the hands of corrupt politicians who have infected both institutions to a metathesized state with their cancer of corruption. So, no need.
But I know for sure that they will get their comeuppance. Trust me.
When citizens are ready for Good Governance, we will all collectively arise and fight to reclaim our Land and all broken institutions from political hyaenas and their allies. ✍🏾✍🏾✍🏾
You guys didn’t even bother to hide it.
APC constituted its Presidential Campaign Council, and placed the Nigeria’s Minister of Defense and the Minister of Interior as Secretary and Deputy Director of the campaign’s Security and Intelligence Directorate. Bello Matawalle (Minister of State for Defence) is also in as Deputy Director.
Read that again.
The men who control the Nigerian military, the police architecture, immigration, civil defence, and the entire internal security system are now officially the “Security & Intelligence” wing of Tinubu’s re-election machine. This is not “party work.”
This is the state security apparatus being openly converted into a partisan campaign directorate. When the same people who command soldiers, police, and intelligence become the ones planning “security and intelligence” for one political party. Nigeria’s security architecture already knows which side it is fighting for.
The 2027 election security plan is already wearing party colours.
What Our Pervasive Insecurity Requires: A Holistic not Reactive Approach.
In a hasty effort to be perceived as attentive and courageous, it is reported that President Bola Tinubu has approved the recruitment of about 1000 forest guards for Oyo State. This is a further demonstration of poor leadership and attending to very serious governance and security issues with a reactive approach. It is the same reactive approach that led to the sudden removal of fuel subsidy and floating of the Naira that has caused irreparable damage to ordinary Nigerians and the economy.
While recruiting more security personnel for Oyo state and the country is important, it should be done in a more organised and well-thought-out manner. Presently, almost all the 36 states in Nigeria are experiencing different forms of insecurity, with Oyo, Plateau, Kwara, Kogi, Borno, Katsina, Anambra, Niger, Imo, and Sokoto being very alarming.
The question, such as the reactive approach of our President, is whether all the states will receive the same approval to recruit 1000 forest guards per state, that is 37, 000 forest guards for the 36 states and Abuja or is the recruitment approval based on the mood of the President? Moreover, with the approval for Oyo, what will happen to the Amotekun Corps that is trying its best to secure South-West Nigeria?. Will they be disbanded in Oyo state?
The pervasive insecurity we currently have is directly related to the failure of our ecosystem, particularly leadership. It is only failure in leadership that can lead to the death of over 10,000 innocent Nigerians since 2023, and Nigeria is ranked among the top-most terror-affected countries in the world.
Addressing our insecurity situation requires a holistic or what can be described as an ecosystem approach. With failure in leadership, there is failure in unifying our dear nation, failure in industrialisation, failure in harnessing our abundant resources in agriculture, minerals, tourism, water, sports and even oil and gas to effectively generate required revenue, growth and particularly jobs for our exponentially growing youth population.
A New and Productive Nigeria will be POssible, and we will be OK! -P0
I went to treat a dog few weeks ago & I asked the dog owner to put a call through to his former Vet.
Then I asked the man for his VCN NO & the UNI he graduated from, he then said he studied “Animal production” and he is their “Veterinary doctor”
This is just 1 out of thousands🤦♀️
I remember when I failed Biochemistry twice. Mama called me to her office and offered to mentor me. Her encouragement helped me pass that year.
I believe many others like me have countless stories about how impactful she was—and still is—in their lives.
Now, the entire faculty has benefited from the excellence of her spirit.
People don't really know how terrible poverty is.
They think it's just a lack of money.
Meanwhile, it's lack of money, access, help, choice, mentorship, and so much more.
It's the absence of someone to guide you through doors you didn't even know existed.
It's watching opportunities pass by not because you're lazy, but because you never even heard they were calling.
It's waking up with talent in your bones, fire in your chest, but nowhere to pour it into.
It's being brilliant, but stuck, because brilliance alone can't buy data, can't pay transport, can't afford connections.
Poverty blocks travel. It blocks exposure. It blocks the kind of education that teaches you how to dream and reach.
It blocks safety, because when you're poor, even sickness becomes a luxury you can't afford to have.
It blocks creativity. Not because the ideas aren't there, but because survival takes up all the mental space.
It blocks confidence. When all you've ever known is lack, it rewires your self-worth.
It blocks voice. Because society listens differently to someone with empty pockets.
It blocks experimentation, because you can't afford to fail when failure means hunger, prison or even death.
It blocks rest. It steals sleep. It drains peace.
It blocks time, as everything takes longer when you have to figure it all out alone, from scratch, with no safety net.
It blocks joy. Not all of it, but the kind that lasts.
It blocks visibility. You can be exceptional and invisible at the same time if you're poor.
It blocks love. Real, safe, sustained love.
It blocks even the belief that things could ever be different.
But here's what makes it more tragic... Poverty is not just financial. It becomes mental. Emotional. Generational.
It passes down like an unwanted inheritance. A chain of silence, of limits, of "manage it like that,"
... of "this is how it's always been."
Gradually, it stops being just a condition. It becomes an environment. A culture. A cage.
So if you've escaped poverty, I congratulate you. What you have accomplished is in the list of top three most difficult things in the world. Please, don't just count your blessings, reach back, open doors and help some out too. Just be sure that you've escaped totally. You can pull people out of the well if you've made it outside the well. Doing it inside the well can make you fall back to the bottom.
If you're still in it, hold on. You're not crazy. You're not broken. The system is.
And if you're in a position to do something, do something. Not everyone needs a miracle. Sometimes, people just need a ride to the interview.
A connection. A kind word. A break.
What you feel is a negligible help might just be what they need to begin to break the chain.
ASSOCIATION OF VETERINARY MEDICAL STUDENTS, UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN.
Through The Executive Council Presents : ALUMNUS OF THE MONTH (June Edition) 🎉
Dr. Adesola Adeduntan .
My final year project was on vaccine potency.
I got vaccines from several locations around ibadan. At the time, we did an HI assay test, and a large percentage of these vaccines failed.
The conclusion was that a break in the cold chain will have a negative impact on the potency of these vaccines.
@NigerianVets can offer research grants to interested vets to sample the vaccines being sold around the country and offer guidelines/recommendations to distributors and manufacturers alike.

What I would like to know is whether Ebonyi State has state veterinary hospitals/clinics and whether the salaries of the vets employed there have been equally raised to 500K Naira.

"Achalugo, You have to vaccinate your pets"
"Doctor please😂🙃"
When you vaccinate your pet, you reduce the spread of diseases to other pets. You also protect yourself from diseases that can be transmitted to you from your pets.

The National Youth Corps member, Ushie Rita Uguamaye, also known as Raye, recently had an experience that highlights a troubling trend in our nation—one where voices of reason and truth are met with intimidation rather than dialogue and engagement.
Reports indicate that she has faced threats from NYSC officials simply for expressing her concerns about the current administration.
This pattern is not isolated. I, too, have been subjected to threats for daring to offer constructive suggestions and comments.
I now face daily intimidation, harassment, and name-calling simply for expressing solution-based views on government policies.
Such actions are antithetical to the principles of democracy. A government that silences its citizens is not democratic or one that is subject to accountability and good governance and is most often corrupt.
I urge the current administration to reflect deeply on its approach to dissent and recognize that constructive criticism is a cornerstone of democratic progress.
To all patriotic Nigerians: Our nation's future and development depend on our collective courage to speak out against misgovernance, injustice, and intimidation.
Do not let fear stifle your voice. Stand firm, support one another, and continue to advocate for Nigeria we all envision—a nation where freedom of speech is sacrosanct, and leadership is accountable to the people, especially in critical areas such as education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation.
A just and prosperous Nigeria should be one where people like Raye are encouraged to speak out about the challenges they face, while those in government take urgent action to address these issues.
