So basically in the Failing Writers’ back yard — stone’s throw in Dublin — visited the writers museum (basically a shrine to Joyce, Stoker, Beckett, and more)
@failingwriters@richard_littler Great episode. Makes me wish Scarfolk was a real place (perhaps, in a way, it is). And as to my taking your advice, well, even a blind boxer can land a punch or is it a blind squirrel can find a nut? You get the drift. Anyhoo, looking forward to hearing what you think.
@failingwriters just played (and won) my first round of League of the Lexicon. And my winning question? Name ten plays by the Bard. Thanks for the recommendation and thanks to its creator!
@failingwriters For we Americans that do not have a Waterstones readily accessible, I’m pleased to report game is available for holiday delivery at B&N. Just ordered my own and can’t wait to try it out!
@failingwriters Fellow Failers (like better than failures). Just returned from writers workshop. Prompts followed by five minutes’ scribbling, then we read our work. Can’t recommend highly enough. If can, do! Thx @michellebrafman. If game, she’s be a great guest. Jus sayin.
@failingwriters @kathyhoyle1 @ScrivenerApp Let me add to the chorus. Great Podcast. So much content, so many laughs. I don’t know how the Failing Duo do it. Loved the three finalists and looking forward to hearing more. And yes thx too for being read out in the long list ditty for my irreverent flash!
Itai & Hadas Berdichevsky, both 30 years old, bravely shielded their 10-month-old twins in a shelter as terrorists invaded their home in Kfar Gaza, a Kibbutz in southern Israel. Despite their efforts to defend, they tragically lost their lives.
Their babies remained undiscovered and alone beside their deceased parents for approximately 12-14 agonizing hours before their rescue.
Innocent Israelis are being slaughtered.
Share and raise awareness.

We debated whether or not to share these horrific images, but the world needs to know what we are up against.
These aren’t “freedom fighters”. They are Hamas terrorists, but no different than ISIS terrorists.
Same tactics, different names.
Butchering families, kidnapping grandmothers. Desecrating bodies.
Help us get this message out.
I usually post about happier things but yesterday, today, and the days ahead are and will be terrible. I weep for the thousands of dead and wounded and the thousands more to come on both sides of Israel’s border. They will suffer because of Hamas and hate. Pray for them.
@failingwriters@davelostdave @SarahOa64492096 @granota_hut@RRichWords@GhastlyFor Thx for all the lovely, thoughtful poems, as compared to the “Fearsome Octopod,” that is. Thx Tom for the reading and Jon for explaining an “enclosed tercet” of which I had no idea and lucked into. As to why an Octopus talks like a pirate, seems so obvious I can’t answer.
@failingwriters@ScrivenerApp@JonnyAldridge Quick question boys — do we submit anonymously or put our names on our wonderful work? And if we actually write it on Scrivener do we get bonus points? (Hint Hint)
@failingwriters@Shakespeare_Co Nearly as disappointing was to visit to be enthralled by the very spot where James Joyce’s Ulysses was published only to find … it isn’t. Not to take anything away from the marvelous shop, just ain’t the original.
