The U.S. didn’t “steal” anything. We won the war. Then we signed the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, and paid $15 million in 1848 dollars (that’s half a billion today) for land we already controlled by force.

That’s not theft. That’s conquest, settlement, diplomacy, and payment.

It’s literally how every modern country on Earth was formed—including Mexico.

So if you’re living here, enjoying all the comforts and rights this country provides, maybe stop whining about a war Mexico lost.
