According to El Tiempo, cocaine has overtaken oil as Colombia’s largest export product. Citing Bloomberg Economics estimates, the cocaine trade generates approximately $18.2 billion annually, equivalent to roughly 5% of Colombia’s GDP, driven by record coca cultivation and cocaine production. The report highlights the growing economic weight of the illicit drug trade as oil exports continue to decline.

The UAP Disclosure Act was passed last week on July 27, 2023. Included is the following section:

SEC. 10. DISCLOSURE OF RECOVERED TECHNOLOGIES OF UNKNOWN ORIGIN AND BIOLOGICAL EVIDENCE OF NON-HUMAN INTELLIGENCE.
(a) Exercise of Eminent Domain. - The Federal Government shall exercise eminent domain over any and all recovered technologies of unknown origin and biological evidence of non-human intelligence that may be controlled by private persons or entities in the interests of the public good.

Form 8-K for public companies to disclose material events is ordinarily due within 4 business days. If the most valuable advanced technologies ever known to mankind are in the possession of aerospace defense companies, and that's precisely what whistleblowers are alleging, and it can now be taken away via eminent domain, then that's about as material event as it gets.

Every journalist financial and otherwise may find it valuable to contact these companies' investor relations departments and ask some questions.
