@EndWokeness What’s the difference between this and any other Democrat federal government. Looks the same as under Biden. When you’re governed by liberals that’s what you get.
@MediaDistortio1@sarobertson_ The 300% tarrif is to protect Canadian Dairy farmers so we don’t put them out of business and become reliant on other countries for food that can be weaponized against us. It’s pretty damn reasonable and anyone with a brain should be able to understand that.
@millerteg@CanadianFir@Polymarket Canadas your 2nd largest importer of goods next to Mexico. Canadas your largest oil importer. And your farming industry depends on potash which 90% comes from Saskatchewan. If we were insignificant your politicians wouldn’t be talking about us once every 5 seconds.
@winmod1886@RodKahx What’s happening is the focus is on 2021 where there was more area burnt in that one year in Canada rather than looking at the average and trends.
@winmod1886@RodKahx Not to mention Canada has significantly more forest and a fuck ton of less people. And our country is larger and you guys still come out on top with more average burnt.
@winmod1886@RodKahx This is what happens when politicians have a clue what they’re talking about because they don’t know stats. They smell smoke and act like retards. And people like you eat it without a fucking clue of what you’re talking about.
@winmod1886@RodKahx So has yours bud. The frequency hasn’t changed. But the size and severity has in both the US and Canada. We also have 50 million more hectares of forest. The US on average has 10 times more individual fires and often the same amount of forest is burnt on average.
@Shadows19681@SamLenSports@nicksortor You tard realize you have 60 active wildfires with 17,000 firefighters responding and smoke from the states crossing over into Alberta? Over 100,000 acres burned in Colorado. It’s only a problem when another countries on fire. Just not your own.
@tara@LonnekeEngel@WhiteHouse If this was a patient at the site of the fire and had such severe inhalation that it caused airway ulcerations and such severe swelling they required intubation I could also see. Cilia related issues causing problems like pneumonia is more of chronic issue.
@tara@LonnekeEngel@WhiteHouse Cigarette smokers can smoke packs per day and go years without infections. Maybe if you’re immunocompromised I could see something developing that quickly. If you’re going to blame the wild fire smoke.
@tara@LonnekeEngel@WhiteHouse I agree it can. Where I have a hard time believing it’s related to smoke inhalation is that this smoke has reached the US in only the past couple days and is not severe enough to cause an infection that quickly.
@WhiteHouse Currently over 60 active wildfires in the US with 17000 firefighters responding. Colorado wildfire has burnt through 80,000 acres. Should the US tarrifs themself for the active wildfires? Wildfire Canada - tarrifs. Active wildfire USA= okay.
@LonnekeEngel@tara@WhiteHouse There’s currently 60 active US wildfires and one in Colorado that’s burnt through 80,000 acres. With 17000 firefighters responding across the country. So active wildfires USA is okay. Active wildfire Canada not okay. Should the US tariff themselves for the active wildfires?
