This has been one of the most amateur performances I’ve seen from Brentford. Have we ever given the ball away so many times? So cheaply too. Made it so easy for Bournemouth to just attack and attack and attack. How we are walking away from this game with anything is astounding.
How does this one work then? Widely agreed that Brentford absolutely should have had a penalty, but not that VAR should have recommended one? Refs by and large get a tough time of it, but they don’t help themselves with ridiculous explanations like this
Brentford should have been awarded a penalty on-field at Leeds United for Jayden Bogle's challenge on Kevin Schade, according to a 4:1 KMI Panel vote.
But the KMI Panel also voted 3:2 that the decision did not reach the threshold for a VAR intervention.

Listen, I’ll never back against our back room staff, if they want him he’ll more than likely be great for us. But if this harms Lewis-Potters minutes, I hate it and I don’t want it to happen. KLP is our most under appreciated player and it’s not even close.
#Brentfordfc are back in talks with #WestHam about signing El Hadj Malick Diouf. #Bees hopeful of a deal before the deadline but this is a market opportunity so not desperate and won’t overpay. More on @SkySportsNews and https://t.co/jUlpJOofue (w/@chrisreidy1) #whufc
Honestly it’s a bit embarrassing that Tommy T cannot acknowledge that he was the issue in that game, not the players. Surely this isn’t going to be tenable for England going forward.
🚨 BREAKING: Thomas Tuchel speaking via Sky after England's World Cup exit:
🗣️ "Ball possession is maybe not in our English DNA like it is in Spanish or Argentinian-Brazilian DNA."
🗣️ "No structure in the world could have helped us."
🗣️ "We just struggled."
🗣️ "I'm 100% committed."
🗣️ "There is still enough to improve."
🗣️ "I still think we can win a major tournament."
I’ve seen this film before lads. Won’t pay up, someone else will swoop in and take him out from under us. Most obvious Phil Giles trademark move of all time.
🚨🆕 Brentford have submitted an offer worth €45m (€40m fixed + €5m add-ons) to 1. FC Köln for Said El Mala.
Köln have not responded yet. They still want at least €50m, after @AxelHesse1. Confirmed. #Effzeh
El Mala has not yet agreed terms with Brentford. The player first wants the clubs to negotiate. @SkySportDE 🇩🇪
@thesoopabees I’m not calling for his head or anything, but you have to admit going around doing a lap of honour with the Liverpool fans BEFORE coming over to clap the away fans was a poor decision. It’s not like the Liverpool fans were leaving, he knew they’d be staying for the post match
Bold of the Premier League to out themselves to publicly that they don’t watch their own sport. On what planet has Collins done a single thing worthy of being in any kind of TOTS discussion?
I fully blame the players for missing out on Europe btw. Andrews has coached more than enough wins for us to be comfortably there by now, but the players fumbled half of them to draws/losses through sheer incompetence and laziness. Won’t happen, but a big overhaul is needed.
@thesoopabees I think this is the start of is entering a new era for the club in terms of spending. We’re successful enough that we no longer view that 10-20m bracket as a lot of money, it’s not back up money. That could well be great, although we obviously need to be careful not to go too far
@freelander97 I think that’s underrating him tbh. Even with all of them fit, he’s better at moving with the ball, better at delivering the ball, and honestly not drastically worse at defending than Hickey or Henry imo. Of course he has things to work on, but that’s true of every single player
@freelander97 Unironically I think KLP is our best LB, and genuinely just a good one at that. Absolutely no reason for him to lose his spot there short of signing a legitimately good upgrade over him
Jensen easy extend, great servant to the club and will continue to be
Dasilva, it’s harsh but I’d part ways, I can’t see his route into our squad (particularly if we improve our midfield this summer)
Henry, I love the guy but it’s time to go. KLP has overtaken him at LB IMO
Brentford could be set to lose 3 players this summer with contracts expiring 👀
Rico Henry
Mathias Jensen
Josh Dasilva
Who are you keeping? 🤔
Who are you letting go? 👇
I think that Season 4 Episode 5 of Invincible might genuinely be the most brutal one of the lot, which is saying a lot considering what we’ve had before. But god damn, that Mark/Conquest fight has peaked the lot.
