I have today spoken with the chairman of PLU and CDF @mkainerugaba and he has said that we have talked to the Turkish people and agreed to call off the planned demonstration of Sept 01, 2026. We have an understanding, which, if they honor, we shall be very happy with them.
Furthermore, I am hereby ordering DAS Air Cargo to sell all their interests in Uganda to @UG_Airlines at a fair price. This fair price will be determined by the government valuer. This must be done no later than the 30th of November 2026.

Today, I was happy to meet Mr.Girma Wake (CEO of Uganda Airlines) and his team. We are determined to support him and @UG_Airlines to achieve all their goals. God bless Uganda.
Ugandans, especially the Bazzukulu. Greetings.
I want to use this occasion to thank God that has protected and enabled Uganda to address its numerous problems. I thank God for blessing the NRM for the last 60 years plus, starting with it’s precursors.
Now, God has blessed me with one of my grandchildren, Ruhamya, joining my big family of UPDF, having graduated, with his colleague, Bakyira, from Sandhurst recently. Congratulations Ruhamya, congratulations Bakyira.
Young Ugandans, Army service gives you good foundation. I congratulate the parents of the two young officers.
Signed:
Yoweri K. Museveni

The Chief of Defence Forces, Gen @mkainerugaba has arrived at the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs Headquarters in Mbuya, Kampala, for the retirement ceremony of senior and junior officers of the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces.
I have repeatedly read from different fora and, most recently, watched a clip from Hon. Ssemujju Nganda on how, sijui, Mzee Museveni appoints his family members such as the wife as Minister, Gen. Saleh to OWC, his son as CDF, Hon. Shartsi Kuteesa and Hon. Alice Kaboyo as Ministers etc., etc., to public offices and I have always wanted to say this.
HEAR ME OUT; why is it that nobody questioned when Mzee Amos Kaguta’s sons were in the bush fighting for this nation’s freedom? Nobody cared when Gen. Salim Saleh had bullets go through his body while liberating this country? Nobody questioned when Gen. Muhoozi served his nation in Garamba, Somalia +++.
My fellow Ugandans, why should being the President’s wife, brother, son, or relative disqualify a Ugandan from serving their own nation?
Isn’t that clear double standards? Should we say that their sacrifice was never a problem then but now that reward is involved offense takes precedence?
I must say this, President Museveni has a proven record of identifying, nurturing talent and bringing out the best in people. I’m curious if the eye that has spotted ability in countless Ugandans with no relation to him at all and elevated them to serve with him is the same eye that would go blind or biased the moment it looked at those close to it.
Anyway, enough of my rant.
Long live President Museveni!
Muraare gye.

Today, I inspected the ongoing construction works on the Masaka–Kyotera–Mutukula Road, a strategic regional corridor that connects Uganda to the United Republic of Tanzania and serves as a vital route for trade, tourism and cross-border movement.
I am concerned that with only two years remaining on the contract, just about 30% of the works have been completed. This pace is not satisfactory for a project of such national and regional importance.
I directed the contractor to intensify dust suppression by regularly watering the entire corridor, to prevent accidents which have become a common occurrence due to the dust and lack of speed humps.
The contractor has 90 days to commence tarmarcing of the road!
@MoWT_Uganda will maintain close supervision of this project to ensure improved performance, adherence to quality standards and timely delivery.
I would like to thank H.E. @PaulKagame, @FirstLadyRwanda and my counterpart General Mubarakh Muganga for the very warm welcome our delegation received in Rwanda. We had excellent discussions about our bilateral relations. Uganda-Rwanda relations are stronger and warmer than ever. We thank our two Presidents H.E.@KagutaMuseveni and H.E.@PaulKagame for their enlightened leadership of our two brotherly countries. Murakarama.
I congratulate our comrade Hon.Fadil Twalla on assuming the high office of General Secretary of the Mighty PLU. I also thank the National Vice Chairman, Hon.Michael Nuwagira, for supervising the function. I thank the Right Honourable Speaker for gracing the function as the Chief Guest. I thank all our many, many members for turning up in numbers and attending the function.
The foreigners, the lackey media and a few controlled civil soceity organisations thought they could hoist themselves on our sovereignty and independence? They will learn differently.
Our operations against the Opposition last week are a reassuarance to the great Ugandan people by the Security Forces that Uganda will NEVER be led or controlled by a foreign-sponsored political organisation!
Imagine a 46 year old so-called leader of the opposition, who mobilises people to vote for him and his party and then escapes to the USA, 9 days after the elections and remains there on holiday for 6 months. Leaving his party without any direction.
