My Generation Is Blind to the Prosperity Around Us!
I'm sitting in a small coffee shop near Nokomis (Florida) trying to think of what to write about. I scroll through my newsfeed on my phone looking at the latest headlines of presidential candidates calling for policies to "fix" the so-called injustices of capitalism. I put my phone down and continue to look around.

I see people talking freely, working on their MacBook's, ordering food they get in an instant, seeing cars go by outside, and it dawned on me. We live in the most privileged time in the most prosperous nation and we've become completely blind to it.

Vehicles, food, technology, freedom to associate with whom we choose.These things are so ingrained in our American way of life we don't give them a second thought.

We are so well off here in the United States that our poverty line begins 31 times above the global average. Thirty One Times!!!

Virtually no one in the United States is considered poor by global standards. Yet, in a time where we can order a product off Amazon with one click and have it at our doorstep the next day, we are unappreciative, unsatisfied, and ungrateful. ??

Our unappreciation is evident as the popularity of socialist policies among my generation continues to grow. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently said to Newsweek talking about the millennial generation, "An entire generation, which is now becoming one of the largest electorates in America, came of age and never saw American prosperity."

Never saw American prosperity! Let that sink in.

When I first read that statement, I thought to myself, that was quite literally the most entitled and factually illiterate thing I've ever heard in my 26 years on this earth. Many young people agree with her, which is entirely misguided.

My generation is being indoctrinated by a mainstream narrative to actually believe we have never seen prosperity. I know this first hand, I went to college, let's just say I didn't have the popular opinion, but I digress.

Why then, with all of the overwhelming evidence around us, evidence that I can even see sitting at a coffee shop, do we not view this as prosperity? We have people who are dying to get into our country.

People around the world destitute and truly impoverished. Yet, we have a young generation convinced they've never seen prosperity, and as a result, we elect some politicians who are dead set on taking steps towards abolishing capitalism.

Why? The answer is this,?? my generation has only seen prosperity. We have no contrast. We didn't live in the great depression, or live through two world wars, the Korean War, The Vietnam War or we didn't see the rise and fall of socialism and communism.

We don't know what it's like to live without the internet, without cars, without smartphones. We don't have a lack of prosperity problem. We have an entitlement problem, an ungratefulness problem, and it's spreading like a plague."

I was 26 years old when Peter Lynch handed me this.

April 28, 1983. I was the auto and retail analyst at Fidelity.

Peter was in his prime, on his way to building the greatest mutual fund track record in history:

I'm looking at the principles he had typed up on a single sheet of paper that I've kept in my files for 42 years and I believe now is the perfect time to revisit them again.

Let me walk you through a few:

Rule 1B: "You need an edge to make money. Do not rely on a combination of hope and good luck."

Today's retail investor has no edge. He has Reddit, Robinhood, zero-DTE options and a TikTok algorithm pushing him into whatever stock just ripped 200% the day before.

That's hope and good luck wearing a fancy costume.

Rule 1E: "Purchase stocks like one would purchase a business."

Tesla trades at over 360 times earnings on a business deteriorating in real time, Oracle has $206 billion in liabilities against $39 billion in equity, MicroStrategy is a leveraged Bitcoin holding company priced like a software firm, and don't even get me started on SpaceX, that piece of garbage you'll be able to trade tomorrow...

Nobody in their right mind would buy these as actual businesses. They buy them as stories, narratives, and lottery tickets.

Peter would have called it the same way I do - these are not investments. They are speculations. GAMBLING.

Rule 1G: "Study the balance sheet and cash flow statement."

The hyperscalers spent over $380 billion on AI capex in 2025. Goldman says the measurable productivity payoff does not arrive until 2027 at the earliest.

Oracle just reported NEGATIVE $23.7 billion in free cash flow for fiscal 2026 while borrowing at a pace that would make a leveraged buyout firm nervous. The cash flow statements are screaming but nobody is reading them.

Rule 1I: "Avoid the long shot."

This one cuts the deepest.

The entire market has become a long shot.

OpenAI is projected to post roughly $74 billion in operating losses in 2028 ALONE while priced for transformation tomorrow. Bitcoin treasury companies are multiplying off thin air.

The retail investor of 2026 is making one long-shot bet after another and calling it a portfolio.

Rule 3A: "When the fundamentals change, sell your mistakes."

Tesla's fundamentals have changed.

California registrations are down 24% year over year and inventory days went from 10 to 27. Musk himself admitted on the last earnings call that Hardware 3 cannot achieve unsupervised FSD, breaking a promise made to 4 million customers.

The fundamentals have screamed change. But the stock is still at $385.

The mistakes are not being sold. They are literally being doubled down on with leverage.

Rule 3I: "A 30-50% profit in 12 months is great. Mediocre in three years."

Today's retail crowd expects 30-50% in a WEEK. Then they wonder why they get wiped out the second the hype stops.

And my favorite - Rule 3J: "Develop your own style and stick to it."

That is the entire game right there.

I developed mine sitting across the hall from Peter Lynch in 1983, watching him work, reading his notes, getting my own research handed back to me covered in his pencil marks. Then in 1984, my first full year managing money, I ran the #1 mutual fund in America. The Fidelity Overseas Fund was top 2 for the next six years running.

I did not get there by chasing narratives. I got there by following the sheet of paper you are looking at right now.

42 years later, this single page contains more wisdom than every Fintwit thread, CNBC segment, and Wall Street price target combined.

Peter retired in 1990 with the greatest mutual fund record in history. Then he sat down and wrote books explaining exactly how he did it.

Only a few "investors" these days read them.

And almost nobody is reading the balance sheets, the cash flow statements, or studying actual businesses today either.

They are chasing AI, crypto, and whatever pumped yesterday.

We exposed an “American” channel as Qatari-owned. Their response wasn’t to deny it, it was to quietly change that it's based in the United States from their bio overnight.

Here’s the story. Six weeks ago, @travelingisrae1 and I published an investigation into a channel with hundreds of thousands of followers and millions of views per episode. It presented itself as American: “we Americans,” talking to fellow Americans.

The framing was deliberate: “we,” never “Americans,” built to read like homegrown American voices.

The content? A steady message that the US and the West are the villains, and that ALL of America’s problems trace back to Jews “controlling” media and academia. It rejoices in the possible fall of the US as an empire and a prosperous country.

It also pushes Islamist talking points, and anyone who pushes back gets labeled a racist. Declining to cheer for jihad isn’t bigotry.

What we actually found: Qatari ownership and job listings based in Qatar, behind an American on-screen persona. That’s not commentary, it’s foreign-funded content wearing an American mask (you can read the full article below).

And surprise: they’ve now switched their socials from “American” to “Qatari” and rewrote the entire bio. Suddenly interested in “transparency.”

My grandmother Hela survived it. The event became known as the Farhud. Her family fled Iraq for the country you villainize constantly as a career.

Not all Arabs participated actively in enacting Nazi policies. But many did. The Nazi incursion into Arab lands and the policies they enacted there against Jews did not prompt an organized resistance from Arab inhabitants. The Nazis were defeated in North Africa and the Middle East by the Allied forces.

Dans les urnes, c'est un réalignement historique. Pour la première fois de l'histoire moderne, les partis anti-système sont simultanément en tête dans les trois principales économies d'Europe. Reform écrase tout au Royaume-Uni avec un Starmer à -61 de popularité nette. L'AfD devant la CDU. Le RN plus haut que jamais. L'Italie gouvernée. L'Autriche, le Portugal, les Pays-Bas qui basculent. Trump réélu. Milei qui redresse l'Argentine en direct.

Ce n'est pas une vague. C'est tout le bloc occidental qui rejette le même logiciel en même temps.

Pourquoi maintenant? Parce que l'idéologie a commis l'erreur que sa version précédente avait mis 70 ans à commettre: elle a pris le pouvoir. Une idéologie d'opposition est irréfutable. Une idéologie au pouvoir produit des résultats. De 2020 à 2024 elle a gouverné, et le réel a recommencé à envoyer ses réfutations, comme Budapest 1956, comme les boat people. Tout le monde a vu les villes ingérables, les écoles effondrées, les fondatrices de BLM s'acheter quatre manoirs avec l'argent de la cause. Le peuple n'a pas eu besoin de lire Foucault. Il a regardé qui s'enrichissait en prêchant le sacrifice.

Et puis il y a le facteur que ni l'URSS ni la French Theory n'ont jamais eu à affronter.

Qu'a-t-il fait de ce désespoir? Il n'a pas émigré. Il a racheté la place publique mondiale, cassé le monopole de la censure, mis sa fortune dans la bataille. Cet homme est aujourd'hui en route pour devenir le premier trillionaire de l'histoire de l'humanité, et il a fait de la destruction de cette idéologie un objectif explicite. Jamais, dans toute la guerre froide, le monde libre n'a eu un atout pareil. Les dissidents soviétiques tapaient des samizdats à la machine. Nous, nous avons les fusées, les modèles d'IA et les réseaux de distribution de l'information entre les mains de gens qui ont choisi notre camp.

Reste le mécanisme de fond, celui que presque personne ne voit.

Le wokisme est une économie politique de la rareté. Il a besoin de gatekeepers qui contrôlent l'accès aux carrières. Il a besoin de commissaires entre vous et le résultat. Le pic du projet globaliste et le pic woke tombent la même année dans toutes les données. Ce n'est pas une coïncidence. C'est le même phénomène.

L'IA détruit les trois piliers à la fois. Elle pulvérise le diplôme comme péage. Elle remplace l'organisation et ses commissaires par un individu et ses agents. Elle casse la somme nulle en créant l'abondance cognitive. Une idéologie de gestion de la pénurie ne survit pas à la fin de la pénurie. Le marxisme économique n'a pas survécu aux Trente Glorieuses, il a dû muter en marxisme culturel. Cette fois, la mutation n'a nulle part où aller: l'IA attaque aussi le monopole du récit.

Une seule condition. Que l'IA reste entre les mains des bâtisseurs. Une IA capturée serait l'inverse exact: le commissaire politique installé dans chaque poche. C'est le seul scénario de défaite totale, et je le chiffre à 5-10%.

Donc voici mes odds, posées publiquement pour qu'on puisse me juger dessus.

Perte de l'hégémonie culturelle woke d'ici 2030: 90-95%. C'est presque déjà fait.

Perte des institutions d'ici 2035: 55-65%. C'est la bataille de la décennie, la plus dure.

Victoire civilisationnelle de l'Occident d'ici 2040: 60-70%. Conditionnée à une seule variable: qui écrit les valeurs dans les machines.

Probabilité que dans quinze ans on regarde 2020-2024 comme le pic historique du wokisme, son 1977 à lui, l'extension maximale juste avant le reflux: 85%.

Alors non, le UK n'est pas fini. La France n'est pas finie. En 1975, les bâtisseurs étaient apolitiques et les clercs avaient le monopole du récit. En 2026, les bâtisseurs possèdent les canaux et sont entrés dans la bataille. C'est une inversion du rapport de force sans précédent depuis 1966.

Le déclinisme n'est pas de la lucidité. C'est l'idéologie ennemie qui tourne dans votre tête et vous fait faire son travail gratuitement.

Hier un ami m'a dit: "le UK, c'est fini."

On me dit souvent la même chose de la France. "La France, c'est fini."

Je comprends d'où vient ce sentiment. Les chiffres de l'immigration, la dette, les rues de Londres et de Paris, les institutions capturées. Le constat est largement exact.

Mais la conclusion est une erreur. Et pas une petite erreur d'analyse. Une erreur mortifère.

Voici pourquoi.

Dire "le UK c'est fini" ou "la France c'est fini", ce n'est pas un diagnostic local. C'est une capitulation globale que vous n'avez pas encore avouée. Parce que le UK et la France ne sont pas des pays comme les autres. Ce sont deux des trois matrices de l'Occident. La common law, l'habeas corpus, le Parlement de Westminster. Les Lumières, les droits de l'homme, le Code civil. Si ces deux-là tombent définitivement, vous ne perdez pas deux pays. Vous perdez la preuve que le modèle fonctionne.

Et le mécanisme est implacable: si le wokisme, qui n'est que le communisme après sa mutation des années 70, gagne en Europe, il ne s'arrête pas en Europe. Une idéologie qui a survécu à la chute de son propre empire ne s'arrête pas à une frontière. Elle a déjà traversé l'Atlantique une fois, en 1966, par Johns Hopkins. Elle retraversera dans l'autre sens. L'Occident tient ensemble ou tombe ensemble.

Regardez la carte de ce qui est en jeu. Les États-Unis, le Canada, le Royaume-Uni, l'Irlande. La France, l'Allemagne, l'Italie, l'Espagne, le Portugal, le Benelux, la Suisse, l'Autriche. Les pays nordiques. La Pologne, les Baltes, la Tchéquie, toute cette Europe centrale qui a déjà payé pour savoir. Et les avant-postes: l'Australie, la Nouvelle-Zélande, le Japon, la Corée du Sud, Taïwan, Israël. Ce n'est pas une liste de pays. C'est une seule civilisation distribuée sur quatre continents. Abandonner un nœud, c'est affaiblir tout le réseau.

Maintenant, le point que tout le monde oublie quand il désespère.

Les plus grands d'entre nous ont désespéré aussi.

L'idéologie qui semblait invincible en 2020 est en train de crever de partout. Les programmes DEI démantelés les uns après les autres dans les plus grandes entreprises américaines. Les universités forcées de rendre des comptes pour la première fois en cinquante ans. La censure qui régnait sur les réseaux, brisée. Les électorats occidentaux qui, élection après élection, rejettent le logiciel. Ce qui se vendait comme le sens de l'Histoire se révèle pour ce que c'était: une mode portée par la peur, et la peur a changé de camp.

Et au centre de ce retournement, un fait sans précédent: l'homme le plus riche de l'histoire de l'humanité, en route pour devenir le premier trillionaire, a décidé de consacrer sa fortune, ses plateformes et ses machines à détruire cette idéologie. Pas à s'en accommoder. Pas à acheter la paix. À la détruire. Jamais, dans toute l'histoire de la guerre froide, le monde libre n'a eu un atout pareil. Les dissidents soviétiques écrivaient des samizdats à la machine à écrire. Nous, nous avons les fusées, les modèles d'IA et le réseau de distribution mondial de l'information entre les mains de gens qui ont choisi notre camp.

Mohsen Mahdawi is 34 years old.

He first enrolled at Birzeit University in the West Bank in 2008 and studied there for six years. In 2018 he enrolled as an undergraduate at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania. He stayed there until 2021, and never earned a credential despite enrolling as a seventh year senior and being a full time student there for four years. Despite this extremely suspicious academic record, he was admitted as a transfer to Columbia University — a school which rejects over 97% of applicants — where he attended as an undergraduate for another four years.

Columbia’s rules explicitly state that students must be progressing toward an on-time graduation, but they accepted Mahdawi as an eleventh year undergraduate and allowed him to remain a student in good standing even though he was evidently not maintaining a full course load. His student status was a pretext; he was acting as a full-time anti-American, anti-Jewish and pro-terrorism activist. Since he claims to be a Palestinian refugee, it is unclear who was paying his tuition or providing for his rent and expenses in New York City while he was engaged in subverting American institutions.

He finally earned a bachelor’s degree in May 2025 from one of the top five American universities after 17 years as an undergraduate and was accepted to a master’s program at Columbia even though the State Department was already trying to deport him on national security grounds.

Democrats at every level fought hard to keep him in the country.
