@Thegr8biggsby @b_co_co The most reliable cars ever made were from like 2008 to 2016. Lots of very reliable options with used cars from that timeline. Many of them have more mileage left in them then a basically new vehicle that is less reliable due to changes driven by efficiency standards

@Kwaye141 @omgsidewalks This is the only real solution tax consumption not income. A sales tax should be progressive as well. Tax a a Ferrari at a higher rate then a Honda Civic. Tax tables based upon product market cost percentiles could do this.

@RealPaulLebaron @omgsidewalks Printing money just devalues currency. So it essentially a tax that is entirely paid for by people depending on cash. That is the most regressive form of funding you can imagine. Billionaires hold their wealth is assets like stocks and real estate.

@B3nL1pman @DividendBreeder Not necessarily, your sales tax could be progressive and target luxury items that only the rich would be buying and avoid staples. Tax new cars more and used cars less for example, jewelry more, clothing less. Could even have price points for items where taxes escalate
