@scifri I’m in NW Chicago burbs, and I’m seeing a lot more chickadees this year, especially in the last 2 weeks! After the avian flu hit our area hard a few years ago, chickadees all but disappeared. Can’t tell you how excited I am to see (and hear) them again!!!
@hereandnow Just heard interview with the Queens of “Six”. Saw the show when it first played at Chicago Shakespeare and I was HOOKED. Came back with girlfriends twice more. Taking my 23 y-o son to see it. I’m (nearly) 60 year old white woman, but I RELATE and adore this show.
@paulew614 @CalvinHobbesCL Calvin was intently listening to the toaster… and then the toast popped! When he fell, he hit one of the knobs for the gas stove 🙄
How do we say thank you to the health workers and scientists for their sacrifice and service? Receive the vaccine as soon as one can to lessen their load and keep wearing a mask to protect fellow citizens. In my 80th year, I am grateful and hopeful for better days ahead.
Let me be very clear: Nobody should be taking a vacation abroad right now. If you’ve got one planned, cancel it - and don’t book a trip for spring break. We need to hang on and hold tight for the next few months, and get through to the spring in the best shape possible.
Being back in lockdown is really hard to take for everyone, but it is necessary to slow down this new strain of the virus while we get people vaccinated. Please - for you own safety, that of your loved ones and of the whole country: Stay at Home, Protect the NHS and Save Lives.
Tory/Labour view is that all Scotland can aspire to is a ‘choice’ between a terrible deal we didn’t vote for and ‘no deal’ we didn’t vote for, & even then our view only counts if it accords with Westminster’s. No thanks. Time to build a future based on what Scotland votes for.
