@henryanumudu_ It’s because at a certain point, people stop seeing themselves as minorities. They don’t believe the possibility of harm includes them. It becomes this distant reality that happens to “other people,” until they realize they’re not exempt from it.
The name Lake Ontario comes from the Wendat word Ontari’io, which, appropriately, means “the lake is beautiful, the lake is big”.
The name is more than 400 years old, predating both the Confederation of Canada and the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America.
We know that America is changing. Their trading relationships, their foreign policies, their national monuments, their hydronyms.
Canadians also know that naming reality means calling it Lake Ontario – then, now and always.
@TomiwaImmanuel Let me get you straight. I should prefer a striker that is unavailable than one that is available and is a guaranteed goal machine over the last 4 seasons. Got it
@Nobsdaslushhkid Noble, Havertz got us to 89 points, and our highest ever goals scored in the club history. We didn't win the league because City had 91 points.
We just won the league with 85 points, 4 less.
Havertz is a better striker for us than Gyökeres. Stats and eye test.
@TomiwaImmanuel Even in Havertz’s highest-scoring season, he didn’t score as much as Gyökeres did last season. Gyökeres played 80% of the games in his first season, despite Arsenal creating very few chances.
This isn’t true. He was actually our best signing. Did we create enough chances for him? Saka and Ødegaard missed a huge part of the season, and it was obvious we weren’t creating enough. Replace him with Haaland and you’d likely get the same outcome.
I love Gyökeres but I'm tired of people talking like he had a great season, he was DISAPPOINTING.
Poor displays and stats.
56 games. 21G/3A. A top striker gets at least 28 goals in 56 games, he didn't even do 28G/A.
If we want UCLs, we have to count him as a failed signing.
Rodri’s passing brought City into the title race, but his lack of athleticism saw them be overrun in midfield at times. Rice’s box to box game won #Arsenal the title, but at times our ball progression struggled. That’s what Pep wanted to pair these two contrasting powerhouses.
