so zillow let a robot buy up thousands of properties, outbidding real buyers and artificially inflating the market, and now will be laying off a full quarter of its workforce and selling off the properties to rental corps like BlackRock at vastly discounted prices. that right?
If you're looking only at formal eviction data to understand how landlords are pushing tenants out, you're missing a much bigger story. The court numbers don't account for the power that landlords have over their tenants in a world where tenants have almost no protected rights.

This is the crux of the generational & wealth gap in housing. People who buy become NIMBYs who prevent more housing supply
