Fresh blog: "ARDS" is not a real thing 😢
🫁 "ARDS" is a messy, heterogeneous, artificial syndrome. It doesn't correspond to any disease or pathology.
🫁 Confusing "ARDS" with a real disease leads to poor clinical management & flawed research studies.

This will be my 55th Opening Day in Pro Ball. I still love the beginning of every season. Hope springs eternal. Our Sox emerged as healthy as they’ve been in a long time. Pedro and his staff ran a great camp. I’m excited to watch what should be a fine offense. Go get ‘em boys

I feel this editorial deep in my bones
Berlin definition of ARDS is flimsy
perpetual re-definition only worsens confusion
arguing about the definition is silly b/c it's not a single pathology
dangerous: folks diagnose ARDS, then stop looking further (fail to look for cause)
