@baneymcbaneface @IjeomaOluo @infowitch513 Totally agree. My problem is I’m not a confrontational person at all... how do you suggest is the best way to call this stuff out, especially to an older family member or person of power?
@IjeomaOluo I’m not black, but the black people in my life seem to disagree with this one. Of course we need to do more than just show outrage, but my black friends and colleagues have appreciated seeing support and outrage for them, so that’s what I’m going to do.
@dummysapphic@gwsgab Np I’ve been looking into him haha! Also his wife is Asian, not white, which I found interesting. I’m curious to hear as more information comes about about the true nature of their relationship
@sarahnotnice@Rachxlkirby@gwsgab @alexiaaes Do you know the statistics on domestic violence in police families? They’re staggering. You MIGHT be right, but there’s also a very good chance she was also knocked around by him, was scared to death, and finally feels safe now that he’s in custody.
@dummysapphic@gwsgab They’ve been married 10 years, so she likely didn’t know him in 2006. Not justifying it, just saying he might have hidden it or manipulated the story
....It was spoken as a fact, not as a statement. It’s very simple, nobody should have any problem with this other than the haters, and those looking to cause trouble on social media. Honor the memory of George Floyd!
@JoshuaPotash I love this so much, but it also really worries me with COVID. Wouldn’t be surprised if we saw a huge outbreak in ATL soon. Praying for the health and safety of everyone there.
@PioneerInSnoopy @anaphxxra @SourceLocator@ashiinu Okay? I’m still not really sure what that has to do with my post. OBVIOUSLY MLK being assassinated is wrong...???
@AntheaButler Luckily mine have and I’m so proud of them 👏🏼 especially our AMAZING African American pastor who I look up to so much and would trust with anything (we have white pastors who’ve spoken out as well)
