@Fabbzzz@SNY_Mets The Mets' record last year after June 12 was 38-55. That's .409. This year at the nadir, their winning percentage is .420. As much as I enjoyed watching Alonso and Nimmo play (for example), I can't blame this year's fiasco on their departures.
@NateSilver538 Wikipedia says "In May 2022, the Turkish government requested the United Nations and other international organizations to use Türkiye officially in English; the UN agreed." I'm unaware of any request made beyond that context.
@Oggie_A@RedheadedSooner@PHeatonJones Not "hasn't gotten the word 'coronated'" but rather "hasn't gotten the notification that 'coronated' is not a word." ;-)
@WorldAndScience I don't believe in a linear representation of technological advancement. You can do good things or you can do bad things. Consider things case-by-case.
@SNY_Mets There are no closed captions in tonights game, Mets @ Reds. I'm watching in Fios, Jersey City. Maybe it's time to turn off the game anyway (9-0 in the second).
@KeithNHumphreys I used carbons in the olden days. (I'm 73.) But I thought "cc" could/should mean "copies" the same way "pp" means "pages." I also thought "bc" was common enough meaning blind copies, but maybe it isn't. "BCC" seems to be the standard.
@guessmyword1 Hi! Sorry to inform you that the completion board(s) are down. I seem to have submitted successfully (two good games!), but I cannot view either board.
@OliverKamm The first word of the sentence should have been "notorious," and it should have been in quotes. Maybe a grammar checker objected to an adjective being the subject of the sentence and the adjustment made things worse.
