@hungrycat2000 Easily the best. His take on the Sex Pistols is often quoted in my house. When i was teaching C.A.L.M. i would lead each lesson with an episode of F&Gs, because there is literally an episode for every challenge a teen faces. Perfect.

The "obvious answer" (or so we're told) is private system...but this is often (and in our case) not financially realistic. (Also bonkers in Alberta that they are supported by provincial government dollars too, pulling from the public systen). Its fucked.

One of the hardest things as a parent of special needs child, is having a heartfelt and productive meeting with school admin, where they listen, want to problem solve, and geuinly care, only to hear that due to current funding there is literally no access to the needed support.

Those in the classroom and the schools are patient and understanding, but things will never get better as funding has been cut, and dollars for special education and support for vulnerable students is stretched so thin.
