To those who know Dan on X, I am very saddened to share that Dan is no longer with us. He died of a very rare thymic carcinoma cancer last week. He was peaceful and he was with his wife, me Amy and one of his sons. He was very well loved and will be very fondly remembered. All best wishes to you and farewell.
Amy
@AntDisgruntled@mikegalsworthy The genocide of 100,000s of Jews brutally killed in ww2 - I wish more people researched it before making themselves look like nazis
They have to apply for asylum when they arrive at a port, at least that's the closest to legal. The longer they take it to present themselves at a police building after entering the country and somehow didn't declare themselves (e.g land at a beach) the worse their claim will fare.
@TechGuyTony@ZoeJardiniere Unfortunately not - the only way they can get into the UK is on a boat for most of them, and if not that a plane. There are no places outside the UK to apply for asylum
@JonathanPieNews@losolegacy In case you weren't listening like apparently the rest of the world, the deal was Ukraine stops shelling Donbass and accept their autonomy to allow Russian to still be an official language, and stay neutral never to join NATO.
@elonmusk I'd be proud of not having that twat saying that he represents me - I'm far more British than him, I can trace my family back in graveyards near Cambridge for over 500 years
@BolshevikNoir@georgegalloway There's quite a bit of evidence of rape by US troops of Germans during the aftermath of ww2 here:

@WitterinLaconic @AMVChelt@AndyatAuto I think battery prices have come down since then - they keep plummeting. Whether Tesla pass that on is a different matter, but they also last a lot longer now, so I don't think the guy would have the same problem.
